Results of the last show for Tempo and Onyx!!

Tempo earned BOW and BOBOH and then went into the OH group ring to get awarded a group 2nd (after a very nice Samoyed 😊)

Onyx earned BOS both days and a couple points towards his championship! He was handled by new people both days and was happy to show with them.. and that is the most important experience he could gain from the weekend.

Tempo had a nice hike and photoshoot with friends Lyra and Ruin at Antietam Battlefield. She just turned two years and is growing up beautifully!

Onyx had a great time and earned Best of Winners and Best of Opposite S*x at today’s show (don’t tell him he was the only “opposite sex” there 🤫)

Reika, Tempo and their friends Ulu, Giselle and Sting all went to Meet the Breeds in NYC this weekend to meet all the people! Approx. 30,000 people descended on the Javits Center to come meet all the dogs, despite frigid temperatures and wind. The Malamutes loved all the attention and handled power outages and massive crowds wonderfully.

The Arctic weather was just a bonus 😆😆

Everest and Sig got some mail today! Finally submitting working title info and these are long overdue for these two amazing boys.

I have a backlog of runs to post about… so I’ll start with our New Year’s Day run. Great way to start the year! We met up with friends for a run in the pine barrens then had lunch after.

This is the first run Tempo led the entire time (instead of being switch in for the second half). Mimic and her did super well and had a great time. Passed a few dogs/teams at the start, took the right split and almost all the right turns. Leaves blowing across the trail proved to be distracting at intersections 🍂. But we got a few new turns and so a few new trails and a little more mileage.

Can’t wait to be back out again and for the spring race!

We spent the day running dogs and helping out at the AMCA December Fast Cat. I think the high was 35F, we had about an hour of icey rain that froze on the tents and also on the lure… technical difficulties. 😅

AMCA also has some of the best ribbons! We tried to get a picture with them but the wind wasn’t cooperating. So here’s the best one of the dogs and some outtakes.

🕯️❄️ On the winter solstice we light candles and face North, where our Northern Breeds raise their heads and join in the ancient chorus. They are joining their ancestors who are dancing on moonbeams and singing like the winter wind, wearing their silver harnesses with pride. ❄️🕯️

Tonight we lit a candle and went on a run to honor Tikaani and Kiba. Introducing the young crew to one of the older one’s favorite trails.
