Our rescue is active in Maryland, Northern Virginia, D.C., and south central Pennsylvania. We are a group of volunteers, dedicated to rescuing and placing German Shepherds and German Shepherd mixes in good homes.

IT IS ALMOST TIME! The Inaugural Strides for Shepherds 5K starts TOMORROW! Get your steps in for a purpose and support the pups!

This Virtual 5k can be completed anytime between June 23rd-29th. Worried about speed? No problem! This is not timed, it is only for completion, and you can even complete it over multiple days if you wish! Walk, run, jog, hike… you are free to complete it your favorite way! And the best part? It’s all fundraising for MAGSR pups! You get your very own fundraising page when you sign up. So tell your friends, family, shout it from the roof tops, send your personalized link out! 5k not your thing? You can just donate without participating!

Entry fee is $25, and you will get an official MAGSR certificate of completion for finishing your 5k! We also have Strides for Shepherds 5k shirts for sale!

Who is ready for summer weather?! AND Five Dollar Friday?! Miss Mila certainly is! Marvelous Mila is goofy, affectionate, and intelligent. Mila is extra special in that she is navigating the world without one of her senses, as she is deaf. But this does not slow her down! She is lucky enough to be working with our partners at Mason Dixon K9, where she is absolutely thriving in her training! This sweet gal is stable, well socialized, and trained?
