Dog adoption fees:
Seniors - $115
Adults - $180
Puppy - $195

All adoption fees include spay/neuter surgery, microchipping, DHLPP/Bordetella/Rabies vaccinations, HW/Lyme/Anaplama/Ehrlichia testing for dogs over 6 months of age, intestinal parasite testing, deworming and flea & tick prevention. Cat adoption fees:

Kitten - $80

🎀 Meet Izzy: Tiny, Brindled, and a Little Prim and Proper! 🎀

Izzy is an adorable 1-year-old brindle girl weighing approximately 10 pounds, and she is ready to find her new home!

This petite lady apparently has standards—possibly even when it comes to facial hair. 😂 Izzy was surrendered because she never became comfortable with one of the men in her home. Her previous owner said she had been fine with other men and wondered if his beard made her uneasy. Perhaps this prim and proper girl simply prefers a tidy, clean-shaven look!

All joking aside, Izzy can be fearful of some men. When she feels uncomfortable, she may bark or growl to let them know she needs space. She will need patient introductions and people who will respect her boundaries rather than rush her. Since she is new to the shelter, we are still learning about her personality and what helps her feel most comfortable.

Thankfully, Izzy’s previous family had owned her since she was a baby and gave us plenty of helpful information. They described her as playful and independent. She is reportedly housebroken, crate trained, walks well on a leash, and enjoys daily walks. She was accustomed to having a fenced yard where she could run and play. She was not destructive in the house but was crated when left unattended.

Izzy previously lived with a large dog and was reportedly very playful with it. They got along well despite their difference in size! She also lived with cats in her former home.

Izzy lived with children ranging in age from a toddler to teenagers and was reported to do well with them. As with every dog, children in her new home should understand and respect her body language and boundaries.

Romy | Female | 1–2 Years Old | Medium Size

Romy may only weigh about 26 pounds right now, but this little lady is carrying around a whole lot of love. 💕

Romy came to us through a cruelty case severely underweight from starvation. She is now safely on a meal plan and working her way toward a healthy weight. Once she fills out, she’ll be that perfect medium-sized companion—not too big, not too small, just right!
If Romy could choose her favorite activity, it probably wouldn’t be fetch or zoomies. It would be receiving attention. 😂 In playgroups, the other dogs may be trying to figure out who wants to play while Romy is busy making her rounds to the humans like, “Excuse me… I believe you have two free hands that could be petting me.” She has done well meeting several dogs and especially enjoyed running around with her girlfriends.

Because Romy went without food in her past, food and water can still feel VERY important to her. She is eager for treats and has shown some guarding around water with another dog, so her new family will need to continue teaching her that she never has to worry about going without again. The good news? She already knows sit, loves treats, and is beginning to learn new skills.
Romy is still discovering the world outside of the life she knew before coming to us. Cars, crowds, unfamiliar noises, baths and new situations can make her unsure, and she looks to her person for reassurance. She would benefit from a family willing to introduce her to new experiences gradually and help build her confidence. She has also been uncertain around very young children, so a calmer home without toddlers may be the best fit.

Underneath all of that uncertainty is an incredibly sweet girl who desperately wants to connect with her people. Sit down with Romy and she’ll bury her head in your lap, soak up every pet you’re willing to give and happily remind you if you stop too soon. ❤️

Romy survived a life where some of her most basic needs weren’t met. Now she’s ready to learn what it feels like to be someone’s spoiled, safe and very loved little sidekick.

📸 Oh, Blair…we just can’t get enough of you! Enjoy this Blair photo dump because one picture could never capture all the chaos, comedy, floof, and personality packed into this photogenic boy!

Blair had a big adventure today! He visited a senior center, met lots of new people, and was a perfect gentleman. Of course, such excellent behavior deserved a pup cup on the way back to the shelter—and Blair happily agreed! 🐾

Now, let’s get this out of the way…

Blair is not for the faint of heart. 😂

This 6-month to 1-year-old boy weighs about 45 pounds, with possibly a little more growing left to do. We were told he is a Shar Pei/Husky mix, and honestly, we believe it! One look at him and you’ll see the wrinkly charm, fluffy coat, and goofy personality that make him absolutely unforgettable.

First, let’s talk about the coat. Blair is gorgeous…and he knows it. That fluffy coat will need regular grooming, and you may become best friends with your groomer. If brushing and finding stray dog hair everywhere—on your clothes, floors, couch, car, and possibly even in your food—sounds like your kind of lifestyle, Blair is your guy. Imagine the shedding of a Husky mixed with the unique coat of a Shar Pei. If brushing isn’t your thing, Blair probably isn’t your guy.

Now for the personality…

Blair is goofy, mischievous, curious, incredibly smart, and always looking for his next adventure—or his next opportunity to get into something he shouldn’t. Living with Blair will probably feel a little like living with a permanent two-year-old toddler. He’ll make you laugh daily, test your patience occasionally, and keep life interesting every single day.

The good news? He’s eager to learn! Blair already knows “sit,” loves treats, and walks nicely on a leash. Like any young dog, he still has a few things to work on—especially remembering to check back in with his person when something exciting catches his attention.

He has done great playing with other energetic dogs at the shelter and was reported to have previously lived with children and another dog. Blair has also shown us that even when he’s unsure of someone new, he can build trust with patience, kindness, and a pocket full of treats. Today’s visit proved that this silly boy also knows how to turn on the charm and behave like a perfect gentleman when the occasion calls for it!

Blair isn’t looking for a perfect home—he’s looking for the right home. One that understands young dogs are a work in progress, can laugh when he inevitably steals a sock, and is excited to help him grow into the amazing dog we know he can be.

👑 Baby Is Ready to Be Someone’s Princess 👑

Baby isn’t looking for a nonstop party—she’s looking for a peaceful life filled with leisurely walks, sunny patches of grass, belly rubs, and someone who enjoys her gentle company.

This sweet girl is estimated to be 5–8 years old and has quickly shown us what a wonderful companion she can be. Baby walks beautifully on a leash, staying close to her person with very little pulling. She loves taking her time to sniff and explore, whether she’s strolling around the property, visiting the ballfields, wandering through tall grass, or splashing in the creek.

While Baby enjoys being outside, her favorite part may simply be spending time with you. She often chooses sitting together for pets over running around the yard. She loves rolling in the grass, leaning in for affection, receiving belly rubs, and soaking up a good brushing. She even handled her bath like a champ!

Baby has also shown patience and good manners around other dogs. She may enjoy sharing her home with a calm, respectful canine companion following a successful meet and greet.
