*PLEASE READ THIS WITH YOUR HEART** 💔
Right now, there's probably a dog out there who was thrown away or lost. They saw your porch light and thought "maybe here I'll be safe." They chose YOUR door because somehow, they knew you had a heart.
We get it. Our shelter is FULL. Your life is already complicated. You didn't ask for this scared, shaking animal to show up and turn your world upside down. The guilt is eating at you, but you feel like you have no choice.
But PLEASE - before you drive that trusting soul to some random road and leave them there - picture this:
That dog will sit exactly where you left them for DAYS, waiting for you to come back. They'll whimper your name that they never learned. They'll go hungry because they don't know how to hunt - they only know how to love humans who might not love them back.
When it rains, they'll have nowhere to hide. When they're thirsty, they'll drink from puddles that might make them sick. When bigger animals come at night, they'll have no pack, no family, no protection.
They'll die confused and heartbroken, wondering why the person they trusted drove them to this lonely place and never returned.
**This dog CHOSE YOU.** In their simple, pure way, they looked at you and said "this human will save me."
**Don't let their last thought be that they were wrong about you.**
