Water keeps the body alive, oxygen keeps us breathing, but a poodle keeps the heart full. The way they look at you like you’re their whole world, the way they sense your mood before you even say a word, the way one wagging tail can turn a bad day into a better one.
To some people, it’s “just a dog.”
To us, it’s family.
It’s comfort on hard days, joy on ordinary days, and unconditional love every single day.
They don’t ask for much—just a little time, a little care, and a place close to your heart. In return, they give loyalty, happiness, and a kind of love that never fades.
So yes, when I think about basic human needs, this belongs right there at number three. Maybe even number one on some days 🤍🐾
