There are moments that remind me exactly why we do what we do at 2nd Wind Rehab ❤️

Watching our clients’ horses go out happy, healthy, and ready to do their jobs is the greatest reward. Seeing them run hard, give everything they have, and watching the smiles on their riders’ faces makes every late night, early morning, and weekend spent caring for these athletes completely worth it.

We are beyond proud of every 2nd Wind client and sponsored rider that went down that alley this weekend. Thank you for trusting us with your horses and allowing us to be a small part of your journey. Watching the dedication, hard work, and partnership between horse and rider come together is what makes it all worthwhile.

And a HUGE congratulations to our very own, Cami Owens and the incredible Move Over Martha on their Reserve Championship win in the slot race tonight! 🏆✨

The energy in that arena was unforgettable — the loud cheers, the excitement, and the support from everyone watching helped fuel Martha’s run and made the moment even more special. Watching Cami and Martha out there doing their “dance” is always absolutely incredible.

And that was after she LARC tested over 20 horses today!!! Moments like this are exactly why we pour our hearts into these horses.

You guys are amazing!! The two camps are almost full. So don't sleep on this one as I have a feeling both weeks will be full by the end of the night.
Weeks are:
July 12-17th (2 spots left) and July 19-24th (full)
$300 for the week and you just bring yourself, your horse, your hay, and your snacks!!!
You are going to ride, learn, treat, condition, and bond with your horse.
And we may have a special guest with us a few days for the first week!
And week 2 participants get to spoil our queens and king all week ☺️

Barrel Racing & Equine Conditioning Camp

We are excited to offer a unique week-long learning opportunity at our horse rehab and conditioning barn for 5–10 dedicated young riders!

This camp is designed for young adults who want to improve their horsemanship, better understand equine conditioning/rehab, and gain hands-on experience with the therapies and programs used to keep performance horses feeling and performing their best.

Throughout the week, participants will:
✨ Break down and work the barrel pattern
✨ Ride and work with their horses daily
✨ Learn horse anatomy including muscles, tendons, and ligament locations
✨ Learn proper conditioning programs for performance horses
✨ Use and learn about equine therapy modalities
✨ Put their horses through daily treadmill workouts
✨ Gain confidence in understanding and managing their horse independently
✨Possibly hit up a weekday jackpot

Participants will stay onsite by bringing their horse trailer to camp during the week. We can always double up in trailers!

What’s Included:
✔️ Food & drinks
✔️ Stall and turnout during the stay
✔️ All therapies and treadmill sessions
✔️ Barrel pattern instruction and riding sessions

Participants are responsible for:
• Daily care of their horse throughout the week
• Bringing their own hay, grain and supplements
• Snacks throughout the week

This will be a hands-on, educational, and fun experience focused on improving both horse and rider knowledge while learning what goes into properly caring for and conditioning an equine athlete.

We had a horse move their spot to June, which means we now have 1 opening available for the rest of May! June and July are starting to fill quickly with horses coming in for vacation season, the slot race, and Cowboy Christmas. So if you’ve been thinking about getting on the schedule, now is the time. Deposit is due at booking to reserve spots and balance is due before horse leaves.

At 2nd Wind Rehab, every weekly stay includes:

✔️ 6 days/week on the water treadmill (cold salt water or warm water capabilities)
✔️ Alternating therapies 7 days/week tailored to your horse (microcurrent, cold laser, pemf, redlight, vibeplate)
✔️ Daily turnout in individual dry lots
✔️ Premium alfalfa hay plus grass/alfalfa hay available in front of them at all times
