One of the foundational tools we had before we started selling produce was the expertise and guidance through the Cultivating Success program, a partnership program between UI and WSU Extension. WSU is offering Agricultural Entrepreneurship and Business Planning workshop this winter.

Winter squash lineup left to right: 1. Lower Salmon River, thick orange flesh great for pies, this seed was grown by Affinity Farm; 2. Sweet Fall, similar flesh to Hubbard high moisture content makes a great baked squash with butter and nuts; 3. Red Kuri Kabocha, awesome nutty flavor for soups and where you want squash to hold its firmness; 4. Delicata; 5. Black Forest Kabocha, long storage similar to Kuri; 6. Spagetti squash, unlike to others this is least sweet and bakes into noodle like strands; 7. Acorn squash; 8. Winter Luxury pie pumpkin, velvety texture that make the best pies; 9. Pie Pita, dual purpose pie and roasting seed pumpkin; 10. Not pictured Butternut. Trailer is fully stocked at the farmstand, come get your fall on!

We planted a few new varieties as well as some of our old favs. Pumpkin lineup from left to right: 1. Montana Jack O lantern, a great new variety that’s early maturing and productive; 2. Jack b Little ornamental mini pumpkin; 3. Snowball decorative pumpkin; 4. Autumn Wings Gourd; 5. Dinosaur Gourd; 6. another MT Jack. Some prices by the piece and some by the pound. Farmstand full stocked and open 7 days a week during daylight hours.
