Name: Matilda Jane
Species: Canine
Breed: Beagle-ish (no DNA test needed to know there is definitely a strong genetic dose of "good girl")
Age: 13 weeks of puppy energy and old soul wisdom

Matilda is a gorgeous freckled lady with soulful eyes, elegant ears, and the kind of nose that could find a crumb in a vacuum-sealed room. She has a refined palate (she will absolutely eat anything) and a penchant for sunbathing on her patio bed like she owns the place.

Her hobbies include:

Quietly judging squirrels

Sniffing things with dramatic intensity

Staring at you while you eat, as though she’s writing a dissertation on snack distribution inequity

Matilda came into rescue from a backyard breeder. She was emaciated. No food in her body. Only parasites in her belly and love in her heart. She does resource guard her food dish and approaches every meal hangry. She will need to be kenneled during meals for now.

She’s got a sweet spirit, a gentle demeanor, and a bark she reserves only for when it’s really important—like when a leaf moves slightly or her dinner is 43 seconds late.

Matilda would thrive in a home where cuddling is considered a valid form of communication, snacks are plentiful, and walks are frequent but not overly ambitious. She gets along well with other dogs, is polite to cats, and thinks children are just short snack-holders with sticky hands.

If you’re looking for a low-drama companion with the emotional intelligence of a therapist and the sniffing skills of a TSA agent, Matilda may just be your girl.

Matilda is foster-to-adopt eligible, microchipped, UTD on vaccines and heartworm preventative. Matilda will be spayed prior to adoption being finalized.

We had another fun class here at Doodlekins last night!! 🎤 💜 ✨ These Swifties made bunches of Tswift themed dog treats and went home with a packed box of goodies for each of their dogs!! We made “Cruel Summer” sundaes, “Lavender haze” pupcakes, “bejeweled” bones and “karma is a Cat” cookies! We had an absolute blast! Our new edition of PUPPY 101 training class is up for July 13, 23, & 30th! We only take 8 dogs so get signed up while tickets last! We will add a level 2 and a level 3 soon after our current sessions end! Our training classes have been very successful for better obedience for your home pup!
