HORSE COMMUNITY:
We all know the importance of an exceptional groom and horseman in your barn. Margerito is beyond a groom. He is a friend to all humans and animals and a big part of our family. He works so hard to support others and I am asking for help in supporting him while he undergoes an incredibly difficult surgery removing cancer from his tongue and throat. With mounting medical bills and the inability to work we are hoping the community can help ease his financial stress by donating to his go fund me. Any amount goes a long way. Margerito has worked at many top show barns throughout California for the past 20 years and never even asked for a sick day. Matcho owned by Gina Schwichtenberg had another outstanding show! 🥳 He had top placing in the USHJA 3’ Hunter Division and finished with another top placing in the $7500 National Hunter Derby at the Paso Park Fall Classic. It has been so fun introducing this horse to the derbies this year. 🤩

Congratulations to Arlo Mertz on the purchase of Sol Star Du Hasard Z aka ‘Dewey’! 🎉Thank you for the trust in training you two together over the past two shows. We are so thrilled he has found a family that loves him as much as we do. Thank you David Nelson of and for your trust through this process. What a week for Laurie Laspina and Tilburg at The Santa Barbara National Horse Show! This pair was unstoppable sweeping up two division champions and winning the Pre-Child Adult Hunter Classic as well as numerous classes in the division! This is their second show together and we are thrilled with the partnership they’ve created.

Highlights:
🏆CHAMPION- Pre-child/Adult Equitation
🏆CHAMPION- Pre-child/Adult Hunters
🥇1st place- Pre-child/Adult Hunter Classic with a score of 82 and 80

Matcho and Dewey both received top placings in the $5000 National Derby at The Santa Barbara National Horse Show and had fun doing it! So lucky to ride horses that love their jobs and rise up to the occasion. Thank you for the ride on Matcho.

Earlier in the week Matcho won the USHJA 3’0” hunters and under saddle.
Dewey was Champion in the 3’0/3’3” Green hunters also winning the hack.
