To trialers: (big hats and little hats)

When I was starting out in trialing, I was told something that stuck with me.
I had a bad run and I came out and blamed the livestock for being bad. A person overheard me and straight out told me it was not the livestock but it was me and my dog, my handling and my training. I took that to heart and I never blame the livestock for a poor run but I look at how my dog and I could have handled it better.
As I trial host, I try extremely. hard to make sure the livestock is even and when I hear of some griping,it bothers me.

Also, it would be a good idea for you to thank the livestock handlers and the scribes and judges. Everybody likes to be appreciated.

SUMMER SCORCHER TIME AND POINTS TRIAL RESULTS
thanks for coming and making it a huge success and all the people who jumped in and helped when needed. Special thanks to Bonnie Hansen , trial secretary,Pam Hunt, Debbie Donohue,Lisa lowery,Debbie Rosenglick,Natalie Cole,Leida Jones, Kristi Heredia, and I apologize if I forgot anyone.
We started at 8 am and we were done by 2. And in between regular classes we ran a silent gather competition which was won by Leida Jones and Ember and they took home $160 for a very nice silent run!

The Time and Points trial has concluded. First and 2nd place went to Billy Bishop with Ace and Jack. Billy won a total of $$672.75.

And 3rd place went to Melody Graveen and Flynn for a total of $$103.5.

The course was challenging and fun . The weather could hardly have been better and there was no drama at all.

The June Bloom AHBA trial here at the farm is all done and I think it ran pretty smoothly thanks to all my help and the people who stepped in to help and 2 geat judjes Leila Jane Bradley from Ga and Kathy Walker from Fl.

Congratulations to Leida Jones for HIGH COMBINED. you had lovely runs!

Last years JHD dogs moved out to lev 1 and did a fantastic job.

3 new JHD dogs this year and they will all be ready to move up at the next trial I’m sure.

I’d like some feedback on ducks since the entr6 was low. Would you enter if I did HTD DUCKS in addition to HTAD?

And finally thank you to Tish Po***ck for taking care of the ducks and setting out each day. You were invaluable.

Thanks to Danny Wilkins, Dave and Kathy Entler for settin sheep and scribing and Mimi Williams who came up to help both days without being asked and thank goodness she did. And Debbie Rosenglick and Annie for working the pens when needed. And hopefully I didn’t forget anyone.

Finally thanks to Bonnie Hansen who did all the paperwork, ribbons and prizes and still ran 2 dogs (amazing).
