In the beginning of the year our client Andrea Beale, donated her great mare, Wimpys Woman to ColdSprings Nurse Mare Inc. “Stella” was done showing and breeding but she still had a lot of love to give.

Then, a month later we found ourselves in need of a nurse mare for a different client. We contacted ColdSprings and to our delight, Stella was available.

Within a couple hours she was delivered us and ready to save the day. Stella swooped in, with her metaphorical superhero cape, without hesitation and raised that foal for us. She cared, protected and taught her better than we ever could. Stella turned a really bad situation into a blessing. ❤️

God’s timing is perfect. We recently weaned Stella and a couple days later, ColdSprings was in need of a mare for a tiny paso fino filly. Stella is in great condition and producing plenty of milk, so she gets to save another orphan this year. You can see in the video, Stella found her calling.

We are beyond grateful for the services Cold Springs Nurse Mare Inc provides. Without them many orphan foals on the east coast would not thrive. We’ve had a number of fellow horseman tell us we have the best ground in Florida. Whether that’s true or not, is irrelevant, the compliments are enough to put a smile on my face.

From a great base built by Brandon Mann, to yearly maintenance and leveling by Danny Kimball and dragging it twice daily with our Arena Werks drag, it’s the recipe for perfection! 👌

This 3yo has only been in our program for about 2 weeks. Knowing he’s probably not ready for OKC, Jenny graciously let me take him to TN to see what we have. I have a feeling this horse is going to live up to his name and be a Big Dog! He’s a super cool horse and I’m so grateful to have him.
