All Puppy and Training Level classes will take time to discuss common issues such as barking, counter surfing, and using their mouth in an appropriate manner. Our classes are unique because we have Olde Lafayette Village just outside our front door. This gives us the opportunity to train and socialize in real life situations not just a class room. Puppy All S.T.A.R.S
Train your dog to
be a STAR!-(Socializing, Training, Activity, Responsibility) This class will be a fun introduction to training. We will include puppy socialization/play time. The puppies will prepare for the AKC Puppy S.T.A.R. test. Basic skills such as sit, down, walking on a leash and recalls will be the primary focus. This program is offered to puppies of all breeds and mixed breeds. S.T.A.R. testing will be available periodically. (For puppies 6 mos. and under)$150
Puppy Super S.T.A.R.S
For puppies between 6 mos. and 1 year that are looking for a Puppy S.T.A.R certification and beyond. In this class puppies will work on basic skills such as sit, down, controlled walking, and recalls. We will cover focus work and basic manners such as leave it, jumping, drop it, they will learn to greet people with manners, they will work on manners at the door, and stay. S.T.A.R testing will be available periodically $145
Training Level 1
This class is a fun introduction to basic skills for all dogs age 1 year and older that have not attended our Puppy Super S.T.A.R.S class. The class will cover focus work, sit, down, controlled walking, recall, greetings, and stay. We will work on manners leave it, drop it, jumping, greeting with manners and manners at the door. $150
Training Level 2-CGC Prep
This class takes basic training to the next level. The dogs will work on all skills needed to earn a CGC (canine good citizen) certificate. We will work on loose leash walking, dog to dog greetings, CGC greetings, go to your bed, advanced stay work, advanced recall work. Reaction to distraction and supervised separation will be discussed. CGC testing will be available periodically. PREREQUISITE , Puppy Super S.T.A.R.S or Training Level 1. $145
Tricks
If you want a class purely for fun this is the class for you! This class will offer a look at the way dogs learn. Through purely positive training we will teach a variety of tricks. There is no limit to the tricks you can teach your dog. Start here go, anywhere. Puppy Level or Training Level 1 is recommended before registering for this class $145
Kids Class
Rally Intro
Whether you plan to compete or just continue your training Rally is a great way to build a bond with your dog. Rally is FUN! Basic skills such as sit, down, heel, and stay are combined to create a course for you and your dog to show off your skills. All skills needed for Rally will be taught in this class. Both AKC and APDT signs will be explained and practiced. You will learn how to start linking short courses together in preparation for competition. $145
Rally Ring Prep
This class takes your Rally skills and hones them for the ring. Rules and regulations will be discussed. Ring preparation will be an ongoing piece of this class to prepare you for every aspect of trialing in Rally warm up to show time. $145
Private Lessons
Whether you are having a specific problem or just want to tune up your competition dog we offer one on one instruction. Both in house and mobile training are available. Call for pricing and availability.
