When it comes to caring for your retriever in these types of conditions, it’s best to keep your ego in check. Your diehard duck dog is going to keep working as long as you let it. It’s up to you to know when to take a break or stop altogether to keep your dog safe and healthy. Putting your retriever in jeopardy should not be an option. There may be days when it is best to leave him at home. Let common sense prevail, and be careful out there. 🦆

Training season is in full swing over here! We are fully booked on new dogs for this summer, but there is some opportunity to get in for a refresher class! Contact us as soon as possible to claim your spot in the refresher, which will begin in October. Dogs with previous training do great in this and it’s a good way to gear up for the upcoming hunting season! 🐾
