So what sets us apart from other breeders 😊
All our cats for starters do not live with us ….. 😳😉… NOPE … we live with our cats 😊. They are not raised in an outside building nor caged up away from human contact! 🐱Our cats are PETS first … breeders second.
We genetically DNA test all our cats using wisdom panel - we ultrasound our breeding cats hearts annually. HCM is caused by more than one mutation so a DNA genetical test is only testing for one common mutation (A31P being most common).
A one time cardiogram is only telling you the present, and that’s why unless the cardiogram is done annually really it means absolutely nothing, a cardiogram and ultrasound does not rule out HCM - it only reassures the breeder that at the present time no indication of HCM. .
As a breeder we always try to only breed from the healthiest cats but in the end - life is life. We can only try do our part - the rest is out of our hands and that’s why we do also offer our customers a one year genetical /congenital /hereditary guarantee.
We keep our pricing of our cats within reason so one can apply their savings towards a good healthy food choice/good Veteranarian care / and a good monthly pet insurance.
We offer our military and veterans a 10% discount as well as any repeat clients or anyone who buys more than one kitten at the same time.
We set you up with a live cam and in home visits once a deposit has been applied towards a kitten.
We do not put our clients on a waiting list … we let you know when a litter is born and after we’ve had an opportunity of meeting you and making sure you’re a proper fit we will only then accept a deposit.

PURR - ity at its BEST So what is so special about a white Maine C**n? 🐱White Maine C**n cats are known for their majestic appearance, combining the breed’s large size with a striking pure white coat.Did you know according to cat clubs all over the world only 1 - 2 % of the total Maine C**n population are solid white. That makes them a rare color. Top that off with blue eyes 🩵 or heterochromia (two different colored eyes) and like WOW! Here at Zodiac Katz we imported our first all white poly heterochromia boy Keiko from Moscow Russia back in January 2024, and what a Giant sweetheart! Most do not realize but white is not a color … it’s a gene that suppresses the color which causes the white coat … it’s like throwing a white blanket over top of a colored cat. All white cats mask a color, often seen on newborn kittens by a very small dot on top of head. One of the problem with white cats is the W gene “can” (not all) be associated with deafness due to the reduction of melanoblasts, which are cells that produce melanin. This can cause chemical imbalances in the ear, which destroys the hairs in the inner ear and leads to deafness. Add blue eyes to this combination and you do increase the risk of deafness. This is why, though, at Zodiac Katz we Baer test all our blue eyed cats prior to using for breeding. Keiko passed his Baer test with flying colors 😊. Any kittens born white with blue or odd eyes we also Baer test prior to placing in their new home. If they show any degree of deafness in one or in both ears we then either reimburse the deposit back to the potential servant or reduce the price for the new servant, servants choice 😉. So far out of 14 kittens none have tested for deafness or any degree of lack of hearing - all have passed their Baer test with perfect hearing! But if a cat or kitten should ever test to be deaf, or any degree of lack of hearing keep in mind that deaf cats can still live a long and happy life. They can be great indoor companions, but shouldn't be allowed outside because they won't be able to navigate safely. We do have at this time 3 poly male white kittens born April 6.
