Heartland Equine Rescue Friesian Cross gelding "Titan" had a spa day. Deanna spent a LONG time bathing, grooming and detangling today! We took some pictures to immortalize his moment of shining cleanliness. He is sure one handsome specimen of a horse 😍. And he does love the camera! He will be available for adoption once his saddle training is finished.
Heartland Equine Rescue does more than just rescue, rehab and rehome their intakes. There are quite a few intakes that end up staying at Heartland as they are not adoptable. When needed, Heartland invests in training for adoptable equines. They want to ensure that every horse or donkey has the absolute best chance of success in their new home. The current economic climate is very hard on all rescues.
Heartland Equine Rescue needs all the donations you can spare to keep these horses fed, vetted and get them into training. The ultimate goal is adoption to a forever home. Please help if you can, the horses thank you for their second chance and a new life. if you cannot donate... consider fostering or adoption. These equines give so much back.

Every spring our Aishik Meade Heritage Bashkir Curly stallion "Duck N Run Dun" sheds off...... and it is always a surprise! His Appaloosa heritage gives him a changing coat every year. Such a handsome guy with a coat of many colors 🥰.

Welcome to the world "DE Touch of Mystery" 🥰 Born 04/14/2026, this fabulous smoky black filly is out of foundation bred Tennessee Walking Horse mare "Doc Side" and by our foundation bred Tennessee Walking Horse Stallion "Shaker's Gold Touch". She is a darling and already has a wonderful four beat gait with overstride. Smoky black color and grey eyes. She will be a big one too 🙂 Sire is 16 hands and dam only a hair under. She will be registered TWHBEA. She is our only available Tennessee Walking Horse foal this year.

Rocky Mountain gelding Peter Pan getting his daily muzzle massage from DJ 😆 Peter "helps" him fill troughs, feed everyone and clean up the barn aisle. He pesters DJ for attention and DJ pesters him back... they are a pair! Peter Pan is here with us to find a new home. He is a dandy, a big puppy in a horse body 🥰
