Did you know that too much exercise can actually cause your dog to be MORE hyper? It seems counterintuitive, but it's true, and it's called over-arousal. Does it mean your dog shouldn't get physical exercise? Of course not, but if your dog is frequently over-aroused, they may need some help to learn to settle and even to be able to rest productively. It may also mean that your dog needs something other than physical activity added to their routine - enrichment that includes chewing, licking, and using his or her nose!
