Raw food is a great diet for our cats but right now, in veterinary medicine, we are seeing a rise of Avian Flu- influenza. Please use caution with raw meat and raw milk ( including retail premade raw )

If you suspect your cat is sick, please follow up with your primary, letting them know of your raw diet - Before entering their facility. Avian Flu is airborne and contagious.

Since the U.S. outbreak of avian influenza A (H5N1) in dairy cattle began in March 2024, dozens of cats are known to have contracted the virus, including barn and feral cats, indoor cats, and big cats in zoos and in the wild (e.g., mountain lions, tigers, leopards, and bobcats).

For all my cat people, especially California! Please be aware of documented H5 bird flu ( influenza) now being transmitted to cats through infected raw meat and raw milk. Attached is the link for Los Angeles public health report

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health has confirmed two cases of H5 bird flu in cats that consumed recalled raw milk from Raw Farm, LLC. In addition, Public Health is investigating three other possible cases of H5 bird flu in three cats from a different household.

DDC is taking a breeding break for at least a year. As a small home cattery with typically 1 -2 females and some changes with living arrangements a break is taking place.
We appreciate your support over the last 6+ years.
Ivy has been placed on birth control while these changes are happening but we will be back soon.

We would refer anyone to seek a kitten from Doneden. They have a kitten from our last litter and we will be working with them in the future when we come 'back online'.

We have gotten our scruffiest baby placed. He will be flying with his new family back home to San Fran area in a couple weeks!
