He received his degree in veterinary medicine in 1993 from Tierärztliche Hochschule Hannover, and during his time there he also won the German Championship for student riders.
After receiving his degree, Dr. Schacht focused on being a professional rider and is the winner of the Steensbeck Medal. He is also the author of several books about riding and maintaining the soundness of horses. Today, Dr. Schacht continues to ride, judge and train in Germany and maintains a small breeding program at his private farm.
Riders will get a private 45 minute dressage lesson.
Dressage riders can focus on training at their horse’s current level, learning how to improve themselves and their horses. Exercises that will include improving your horses balance and movement based on his/her conformation.
Hunter/Jumper riders will cover dressage exercises and movements that will help supple and relax their horses for better engagement, rhythm, and softness to improve their performance over the jumps.
