The fire and police department are committed to relaying important emergency information to the public. The city has an outdoor warning siren to alert residents in the event of emergency or severe weather. Friday at 12 noon November 3, 2023 we will tested our system to ensure that everything is working properly in the event the city has an emergency. Remember this is only a test that will be conducted November 3, 2023 at 12 noon

On December 19th, the City of Moorhead Community Safety and Justice Division will host a community meeting at The Community Room/Public Library in response to recent shooting incidents in the area. Residents were informed about the Community Gun Violence and the resources to help address these issues and find solutions to acts of community violence on last week. City officials met with neighborhood residents to support those who may not know what to do or where to go for assistance.

City staff is eager to work with Moorhead residents to be responsive to their needs and link families to necessary resources to reduce violence in Moorhead. We will continue to reach out until we can regain control of our city. The next Meeting is scheduled for December 19th, 2022 at The Community Room/Public Library at 5:00pm in Moorhead. We look forward to seeing each of you and hearing your feedback on OUR next step.
