This little girl had a fit to sleep in the “big bed” last night. Usually she sleeps in the dog room because I dont wanna separate her from brother. I thought one time wouldnt hurt. Let’s see if its just one time lol. They both did great. This morning she wanted to sun bathe and wouldn’t come back inside. I let her sun bathe for as long as she wanted. She’s a hoot.

We are praying for all our fellow rescuers who may have been impacted with the recent storms. It seems this year has been very trying for our community. Fortunately, we were lucky and have not been impacted. All of the babies are comfortable, clean, and safe. The pups all had a bath and now we are getting tucked in for the night! ❤️🙌

Hello and happy Sunday sanctuary family!! We are saddened to announce the passing of Paisleys grandmother. Post have slowed since Mawmaw fell ill but we are slowly getting back into the swing of things. Mawmaw spoiled our pups. I know Ray will miss taking naps with her! Thanks for y’all’s patience and continued support. We can’t wait to further our mission. ❤️

Well I was hoping getting Claudia started on the antibiotics as soon as I noticed her skin looking irritated would prevent this. The vet has already confirmed my suspicion. That is infection!!! ☹️Ms. Claudia just gained herself a ticket to the dreaded ole vet lol. She has an appointment for 3:00 today. I’m glad she’s going as it will give me some peace of mind and guidance. 🙌

Unfortunately, we are really struggling in the funds department. Between buying food, treating Claudia’s ears, getting her antibiotics, and all the other things that come with doggies our funds are looking sad. We would really appreciate any help. No amount is too small! Thank you for your continued support. ❤️

Sissy hasn’t been feeling the best. 🥺
She had one infected ear so we treated that. Then her other ear started looking gross. We treated and cleared that up. Now, her skin is looking awful red and irritated. I picked up antibiotics yesterday and started her on them! We’ve gotta get Ms. Claudia back to her goofy self.

It’s been a while since we’ve done $2 Tuesday! We have a few things we are in desperate need of but at the top of the list is the pups food! Also a priority is Claudia’s ear. Last night while I was cleaning Claudia’s ear I noticed how inflamed, red, and yucky it is so she’ll need to be seen and treated too! I’m not a vet but I’m pretty positive she has an ear infection. Any amount truly does make all the difference.❤️

I got up early this morning because I could hear Pebbs up and I wanted to check on her. Sometimes she will get up during the night and kinda of pace and wonder. I can tell by the sound of the paw steps who it is. She does a little prance when she walks. I think she has a touch of dementia. Usually when I hear her I check the cameras and she is just getting water. Well turns out this morning she just needed to be tucked back in and to know I am around. She’s sleeping peacefully now. All of them are but the chis look extra cozy so I had to snag a picture!

We hope everyone has a great Thursday! The babies received mail that we are so grateful for. The babies aunt from Pa sent male wraps & diapers! A sweet friend sent 2 cases of wet food, a bed, wipes, and diapers. There was no note saying who sent the goodies but I have a pretty good idea! These will be perfect for Pebbles! Thank you both so, so much. We couldn’t do it without yall.

April 28th, 2025 will make one year since Claudia joined us here at the sanctuary. Time has truly flown by. This is the very first picture I have of her. It’s special because she is the original sanctuary baby. In almost a year we’ve been so fortunate to help numerous dogs. Since April of 2024 we have been going non stop to help pups in our community and surrounding areas. I need to do a better job of keeping count so we can look back and see the difference we’ve made! Thank you to the ones who have backed us from the beginning and our new friends. It’s been a year full of growth and learning!
