WE NEED YOUR HELP- you can be a part of a Make A Wish! Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana have once again asked us to grant the wish of a critically ill child who wants to be a police officer for a day, and it is our honor to do so. This time it is for 9 year old Alivia, who suffers from a critical respiratory disease. Her wish is to “train like a police officer for a day”….but we’re gonna do so much more than that. For a kid that has more bad days than good- we are going to give her a perfect day.

On Saturday, 4/19/25 her training will start with being sworn in at the Police Academy and helping our canine teams train their dogs in their various skills, ride horses from the mounted patrol, take a turn in the driving simulator and learn how to solve crimes while getting realistic training in a wide array of skills. But then- suddenly and without warning- we are going to be sent on a series of calls (that are age appropriate)that have crimes only she, our dogs and her newly acquired skills can crack!

At the end of the day is her hero moment- and that’s where we need you! At 1900 hours at Plainfield Middle School 709 Stafford Rd. Plainfield IN there is going to be a surprise party to thank her for all her service saving the city. A moment in time where doctors visits, medicines or anything else don’t matter - people showed up to show their appreciation for her heroism and crime fighting skills! If you can come please do, it’ll just be a few minutes out of your day to make a perfect memory for a very brave child and her family. Hope to see you there!
