I saw this posted this morning. This is exactly why we don't agree with board and train, along with many other reasons. Please read below.......
‼️This is our beloved puppy, Chloe. We sent Chloe to a board-and-train program for basic obedience training. The program was supposed to last 4 weeks. But just one week before she was supposed to come home, we received a call that we never expected:
We were told that she had died!!! Our baby that had a full life ahead of her was now dead.
The trainer, Cupid Dechaird Seymour, was vague and avoided answering our direct questions, saying, “She must have contracted something”.
Chloe had been to her vet and received a “clean bill of health” the day before she went to training!
After involving local police, Seymour finally delivered her body to our vet 3 days later, where we had a necropsy performed.
The results were heartbreaking and absolutely shocking!! Our most precious puppy was STARVED TO DEATH in just 3 weeks! Our puppy lost 33% of her body weight during her time there. The necropsy confirmed that her GI tract was completely empty.
Why am I going public? I want to protect other animals! Please share as much as you can. Hopefully others who currently have their precious animals with him will see this and be able to pick them up immediately and are spared from the pain my family and I have endured
The facility? The Cupids Doghouse in Alabama (on Facebook, TikTok and instagram)
Why should families across the country take note? This trainer claims to provide door-to-door service nationwide.
What can you do? TELL everyone you know so that no one else has to experience the same pain we have.
We will never stop fighting for justice for sweet Chloe.
We thought we were doing something amazing for our puppy based on the promises he told us but sending her to The Cupid’s Doghouse, Inc ultimately took her life from us.
