Early 2018 I was asked by Doc Tom Thomas K. Parell if I would be interested in opening my own grooming operation at his clinic! It was scary. I had groomed for years, but for mobile grooming which took me to Carmel, Westfield, Greenwood, etc... After much prayer and thought I decided to give it a shot. I opened GroominRoom August 18th, 2018, with literally 0 clients. I worked part time for Kroger, mobile grooming while posting in the nearby neighborhood chats and grooming at GroominRoom whenever a client responded to my posts. After a year or so I was grooming enough to quit Kroger and mobile grooming. In 2020, thanks to loyal, awesome clients (you), I was able to add a groomer and grow even more. In 2023 Brittany Ann Danz joined and has been such a blessing to me and our clients (you)! Since 2018 the veterinarian side has grown and grown with some others shutting down in the area and just more pets in the area in general. We have grown also and envision adding more blessings to GroominRoom. I've always wanted a storefront grooming salon but I wanted to be real picky about that spot. Then one day recently the perfect spot had a for rent sign in the window, then the sign was gone and I remember feeling bummed out. Then about two weeks later there it was again. They had rented it and that particular deal fell through, so when the sign reappeared to me that was a God thing and I called on Friday and rented it on Saturday! It wasn't something I was looking for. It was just like in 2018 when Doc Tom asked me out of the blue. I had eaten in the restaurant that recently vacated and literally thought "this would be a great place for a grooming salon!" So in 2025 entering 2026 here we are in our new spot! Thank you to Doc Tom, the awesome, talented, dedicated veterinarians, vet technicians, and reception staff at St. Francis Pet Hospital for your support, friendship, help, advice, food, compassion, tears, laughs and everything else since 2018, you will be missed! Most of all, thank you to our loyal, dedicated, awesome clients - you! Without you and your loyalty, none of this would be possible! And a special thank you to Brittany, a fantastic groomer, great person and an even better Mom, who is a huge blessing and like family to me, my family and GroominRoom. Thank you and much love to my wife Melissa Ann who loves, supports and just honestly puts up with me, I love you!
