Mud, Mud, Mud, its everywhere! One of the many down sides to the melting is MUD 😭. Help prevent mud fever, scratches, pastern dermatitis and many other skin issues by cleaning and drying your horses legs WELL when they come in from the mud. If you do notice these scabbed areas, oozing, swelling or lameness please reach out and we will help you get things back under control.

The sun might be shinning but it's still chilly out. Make sure to supplement heat to keep those new babies nice and warm so they can use their calories for growth and development not just warmth.

Meet the staff - Karrie Gomez is my part time veterinary assistant/receptionist. She has been an assistant since 2003. She has a son, daughter and two grandkids. Her favorite past times include horseback riding (leisurely and in show competitions), attending church events and concerts, home improvements, hiking, biking, traveling, spending time with family and friends. She has four cats, a Burnese mountain dog, a miniature horse, and two quarter horses.

Meet the staff - Katy Mason (and Lou)

Katy is my full time veterinary assistant/receptionist. She grew up with cattle and horses but she is a first time goat mom! She is married to her loving and super husband Austin and has 3 kids - Virgil, Leonard, and Caroline. She also has 2 dogs and 2 cats. She calls her life a “dumpster fire” but she also wouldn’t trade the chaos for the world.

I’m sure like most of you, driving home from work took twice as long if not longer observing multiple slide offs, cars stuck, etc. There were many good samaritans and police officers helping these vehicles the best they could on my way home. On these seemingly terrible drives, let’s not forget about these first responders and how they help in times of trouble - no matter what that trouble may be.
