Those of you that may live in statesville, we need to fight this, they are wanting to put it maybe 2 miles from a school on farm land. This is not good. Mooresville fought against it and won, now we need to do the same in statesville. Sorry, not grooming related but very important.

Community Meeting at the Statesville Civic Center tonight at 6:00 PM to discuss a proposed data center

There will be a Community Meeting at the Statesville Civic Center tonight at 6:00 PM to discuss a proposed data center for the Statesville area. This is not a city meeting, it is a meeting given by the applicant. Any time the city gets an application for a "Conditional Rezoning" at 255 Stamey Farm Rd, the City of Statesville Unified Development Code requires the applicant to host a "Community Meeting" with the neighbors and let them know what is being proposed as well as answer any questions that they may have. The applicant is only required to notify abutting property owners, but anyone from the public is welcome to attend.

The City of Statesville has set signs on the proposed site to notify the community of the rezoning request and letters have been sent out to all adjacent property owners as required by state law. The conditional rezoning request is scheduled to go before the Planning Board on August 26, 2025 at 6:00 PM in City Hall located at 227 S. Center Street, Statesville, NC 28677. A public hearing will be held by City Council on September 15, 2025 at 6:00 PM in City Hall as well, then a second reading will be given by City Council on October 6, 2025 in City Hall. Members of the public are encouraged to attend.

Iredell-Statesville Schools starts back today so give yourself extra time getting around Mooresville and Troutman. Shepherd elementary right down the street from me starts at 7:25 and ends at 2:25, if you want to work around those times for your appointments, let us know.

REMINDER
I CLOSE AT 5:00!!!! Sharp!!!!!
I have always closed at 5, unless we finish super early.
I have a family to go home to also.
If you are late, there is a $1/min late fee. Please be respectful as we are with your time and be here by 5:00. The traffic around here is crazy, give yourself extra time. We always give a heads up if it is towards the end of the day to make sure we give you plenty of time to get here.
