Someone stole some of my pics and even my USDA license pic. They created a fake email account using my name and are trying to scam people. But this is why my license number doesn’t show in the pic. ALWAYS ask people who want you to send them money for an exotic (or any animal actually) to do a live video with the animal stating their name, the date, your name and have them show their USDA license in the video. If they refuse, report them and move on. Do not be a victim to scammers.

The problem with the Herpes Simplex Virus, that you see it as fever blisters on your lips, is that it is common in an extremely large portion of the human population. It usually only shows if you're extremely stressed, or ill from the flu, or something like that. It's highly contagious, so if you've basically ever kissed someone with the virus, usually a distant aunt at a wedding or funeral, you probably have it. Just because you never show blisters, doesn't mean you don't carry the virus. Now, those blisters you get in your mouth and on your lips end up consuming your monkey's body, face, brain and organs like a cancer and they usually die a very painful death within a couple of weeks.
I’ll add this virus is also Strep, chicken pox & shingles! So while you may test negative for having it if you’re not in the shedding phase you are still a carrier if you’ve had any of these.
PLEASE PROTECT YOUR BABIES BY BEING RESPONSIBLE & NOT ALLOWING CONTACT TO MOUTH OR ANYTHING THAT COMES NEAR YOUR MOUTH OR SALIVA.

What you need to know:

1. In the US it's illegal to SELL primates unless you hold a USDA license. This includes if you decide you can no longer look after your pet and you want to sell it. This is a federal offense!!! So ASK FOR A USDA LICENSE NUMBER and then check the person out with the USDA Aphis database that they are who they claim to be.

2. There are no $500 monkeys, no $750 monkeys, no $1,000 monkeys. These are primates which are very expensive to breed and raise so you will expect to pay thousands. Let that ring some alarm bells.

3. Scammer pages are often very obviously fraudulent. Most of the pictures have different backgrounds ( because they steal other peoples images ) - the phone number often doesn't match the area
they're supposed to be from and there is a lack of personal detail about the seller.

4. If you lost money to a scammer its WIRE FRAUD which is a federal offense in the US and carries very heavy penalties. Report it to the FBI. The USDA has asked us to advise people to do this. The more scammers who get caught the more it will deter others.

5, The desire to get a monkey now and be able to afford one is often our biggest enemy. It bypasses discretion and caution. Nobody wants to wait, nobody wants to pay more, but when that bug bites just imagine sitting there with no monkey and no money or a sick monkey you bought off that nice man on the Internet because you didn't really want to wait. People have to deal with this all the time and its heartbreaking. Better to find your breeder, research them, talk to them, save up and wait till they have a baby for you. We see the old quote "Act in haste, repent as leisure" come true every week. Let your desire to care for a monkey be your best friend not your worst enemy.
