We want to make our clients aware that cases of kennel cough have recently been reported in our area, and weโ€™ve had a few instances at our facility. At this time, it is not widespread, but we believe itโ€™s important to keep everyone informed.

We are also hearing from other pet care professionals across the country that kennel cough is circulating in many states right now. Unfortunately, just like seasonal colds and flu in people, these waves tend to move through different areas from time to time.

We are taking every precaution possible to minimize spread, including enhanced cleaning and monitoring of all dogs in our care. That said, no boarding or daycare environment (just like no school or daycare for children) can be completely free from airborne viruses.

If your dog shows any signs of kennel coughโ€”such as coughing, gagging, hacking, or nasal dischargeโ€”please do not bring them to the lodge until they have fully recovered. This helps keep all of our pups safe and healthy.

We completely understand if youโ€™d prefer to adjust or cancel your reservation until the spread subsides. Deposits can be credited to your account or refunded at your request.

Thank you so much for your understanding and cooperation. We love caring for your dogs and will continue to do everything we can to keep them healthy, happy, and safe.
