I earned my degree in veterinary technology in 2009, but have been working in the animal industry since 2005 (and in the veterinary industry since 2007).

Here's your reminder to be sure your pets are getting their monthly heartworm prevention.

Evidence: this was simply one field of a drop of blood from a patient with one of the worst cases of heartworm disease I've seen in a while.

Alright, y'all! Meet Pearl!!

I had the pleasure of meeting this little lady while dropping my own big boy off at the kennel for the weekend.

She is sweet and petite, and has the absolute softest coat.

She is looking for a home to call her own!

Pearl is current on vaccines and heartworm negative. Was also spayed last week. She is around 8 months old and around 41 lbs. This sweet girl was found running the streets of Saginaw and was unfortunately never claimed. Thankfully, her finders did right by her and are trying to find her a place of her own.

She is currently residing at A Walk in the Woods, in Birch Run.
