Our sweet greeter girl, Charlie, overdid it playing last week and ended up with a sore hip. 🐾 Dr. S. prescribed plenty of R.E.S.T. ~ and we just got the word that Charlie is nailing the assignment.
💕 She’s the best patient… and quite possibly the most spoiled pup on the planet. 🐶✨

📝 Include Pets in Your Emergency Plan

📌Make a pet-friendly evacuation plan (know which shelters/hotels allow pets).

📌Identify designated caregivers if you're not home.

📌Practice loading pets into carriers ahead of time.

📌Ensure pets are microchipped and tags are up-to-date.

📦 Pet Emergency Kit Checklist:
Pack enough for at least 3–5 days:

🥫 Food & Water (plus bowls)

💊 Medications & copies of vet records

🐕 Leashes, collars, harnesses

🏠 Crate or carrier (labeled with your contact info)

🛏️ Blanket, toys, and comfort items

💩 Waste bags, litter box/litter (for cats)

📄 Recent photo of your pet (in case you get separated)

😊 We kindly ask that you show up as scheduled or cancel ahead of time if you're unable to make it. Every missed appointment is a missed opportunity for another pet in need.

Feline osteoarthritis is a chronic, progressive joint disease that’s more common than most pet owners realize ~ especially in senior cats. Unlike dogs, cats are experts at hiding pain, so the signs can be subtle.

🔍 Common Signs of Osteoarthritis in Cats
🐾 Mobility Changes

📌 Hesitating or refusing to jump (especially up or down)
📌Jumping less high than before
📌Difficulty with stairs
📌Stiffness, especially after resting
📌Limping (less common but possible)

😿 Behavioral Changes

📌More withdrawn or hiding more
📌Less playful or interactive
📌Aggressive or irritable when touched
📌Avoids being picked up or held
📌Vocalizing (meowing, growling) when moving

🛁 Grooming & Hygiene Changes
Less self-grooming → greasy or matted fur

📌Overgrooming a painful joint
