Youth Gardening Coloring Contest (K–5)

Students in Kindergarten through 5th grade are invited to participate in our Youth Gardening Coloring Contest, designed to introduce youth to gardening, conservation, and sustainable land care.

Scholars should color the page using coloring crayons or colored pencils only, then return their completed artwork to be judged.

🏆 One winner will be selected for each grade level.
🎁 Each winner will receive:
• 1 grow bag
• 1 soil tester
• 1 seedling

This is what happens when you start with fresh, local romaine.

A customer picked up romaine from the Tucker Urban Farm & Market and THIS is the salad she made.
Fresh. Crisp. Full of life. 💚 And here’s the best part, our romaine is the only farm ingredient in this bowl today. Look at the color, the crunch, the freshness...yummy!

Now imagine stopping by one local farm and getting everything for a fresh garden salad.

I couldn’t resist trying a head of romaine lettuce fresh from the Tucker Urban Farm & Market, and let me tell you, it did NOT disappoint!

We’ve got a few beautiful heads ready for purchase, along with fresh kale… and trust me, this is just the beginning. Much more is on the way!

Agronomist Khan is excited about the work and harvest coming together. He’s in the farm every day, observing, nurturing, adjusting, and guiding the plants like only he can. I call him “The Plant Whisperer.”
