Precision Service Dogs is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that specializes in developing canines capable of assisting their handler in mitigating daily life through trained tasks. Our mission is to set a new industry standard for service dog program ethics. We are passionate about empowering individuals with disabilities through both puppy raising and placing extraordinary service dogs all over the United States.

Happy New Years Eve! There are only a few hours left in 2022 but still time to donate to Precision Service Dogs! Every dollar donated goes directly to the training and placement of our dogs.
—$25 can provide one month of heartworm or flea prevention
—$50 provides a leash
—$65 provides one bag of food for a puppy or service dog in formal training
—$100 provides a tank of gas for transport to and from our puppy raisers
—$350 provides one echocardiogram by a board certified veterinary cardiologist

These are just a few of the ways you can support our service dogs and service dogs in training! We are so thankful for ALL of donors and volunteers in 2022 and are very excited about the future for Precision as we continue to grow in 2023!

Becoming a service dog takes a very special combination of health, skill and behavioral soundness. Our standards are extremely high, and not all dogs end up meeting those standards. But even those dogs who don't become service dogs, are very well trained! Our career changed dogs go on to be facility dogs, therapy dogs, detection dogs, performance dogs (obedience & sports), and loving companions. If you are interested in providing a home for one of our career changed dogs, visit our website and fill out an application! We keep a list of approved applicants to contact if a career changed dog becomes available that fits your needs!

Meet Lauren! Lauren is the owner of Precision Canine and our head trainer. Lauren is a talented, experienced, dog trainer. Lauren holds a Bachelors Degree from the University of Alabama, has trained and worked as a veterinary technician, worked for five years in a large veterinary clinic, and has apprenticed with well-respected dog trainers for several years. In recent years she has specialized in the training of service dogs. Now her work is exclusively the acquisition, testing, training, and placement of service dogs. Lauren is honest and kind to work with!

Did you know Precision trains medical alert dogs? Oden is currently in formal training to be a medical alert and mobility dog for his handler where he will “nudge” his handlers leg and push a doorbell to alert family members. Medical alert dogs can warn their owners using their keen sense of smell about impending crisis situations in a variety of illnesses. Precision trains medical alerts for heart related disorders such as POTS, dysautonomia, MCAS, or illnesses that cause dizziness or potential loss of consciousness. And whether or not the dog detects the emergency in advance, they can provide a quick, targeted medical response unique to the individual’s needs. Oden is extremely smart and is already excelling in scent detection!

Matt received three Purple Hearts while in combat. Precision is honored to provide him with a service dog and we are so very thankful for every puppy raiser who helped train George!

Oden is in training to be a medical alert & mobility service dog. This boy is one of the smartest dogs we have ever worked with. He is an overachiever, picks up on new cues extremely fast, and generalizes really well! We are so proud of Oden and all he has accomplished so far!

Did you know that we train and place facility dogs as well as service dogs? Some of our dogs that love working but aren’t quite service dog material are placed as facility dogs in hospitals, doctors offices, therapy offices, or in other spaces where people may need some extra love from a four legged friend! These dogs are specifically trained to help out where they are placed— doing things like bringing blankets to clients, performing DPT, retrieving mobility aids, and so much more. Bodhi is in training to be a facility dog for a trauma informed therapy office where he will assist survivors in an outpatient setting.

Fishstick is 1 of 3 puppies I've brought home from recently and I am VERY impressed. These pups are confident, biddable, incredibly focused and handler oriented. I am so pleased.

Truman and his Turtle.... a series. Truman and his Turtle are still looking for a puppy raiser home. Even a temporary snuggle home would be great short term for this puppy. He is the last one current needing a foster. Expenses are paid, and this guy is a lot of fun!
