Did you know that some reptiles can lay eggs without a male?

In this case it was Hathor, our western hognose, we've had her since she was the size of my pinky about 8 years ago. She has NEVER been with a male and yet her body wanted to make some eggs so she did! We are monitoring her closely for any complications but she seems to be doing just fine💜

My first ever wild queen snake! A non-venomus, Michigan native reptile. I was so happy to spot this little one on the edge of a river in my hometown. The last two pictures are a northern water snake, caught around a connected pond. These two were hand caught, photographed and returned to where they were found ❤️ 🐍
