August is Clear the Shelters month!

Clear the Shelters is a nationwide campaign to help homeless pets of all shapes and sizes find their forever homes and empty shelter kennels! We are excited to be partnering with campaign sponsors NBC, Telemundo, and Hill’s Pet Nutrition for this amazing effort.

Stay tuned for more updates throughout the month, but here's what we have in store:
🐶 Waived adoption fees-the entire month of August!
🐱 Adoption perks and discounts from local businesses
🐶 Beefed up adoption bags-more toys, treats, and other goodies for your new BFF!
🐱 Mobile adoption events on the 15th, 22nd, and 29th

Attention King of the Hill fans!

One of our shelter pups was lucky enough to be featured in a drawing by King of the Hill animators as part of a special promo with Best Friends Animal Society, spotlighting adoptable senior dogs in the greater Houston area!

Farrah was one of 10 dogs chosen from multiple area shelters to be included in featured drawings and an animation encouraging adopters to consider a senior dog. In the newest season of King of the Hill on Hulu, Peggy convinces Hank to foster a senior dog with a comedically long list of health and behavior issues (think "allergic to sunlight" and "fear of potted plants") after losing their beloved dog, Ladybird. While Hank is initially against the idea, it doesn't take long before the dog, named Caesar Salad, is a permanent member of the family.

While Farrah has already found her forever home, we were so excited to be included in this unique opportunity! To view the other featured pups that may still be waiting for homes and the special promo animation, follow the links below!

Before Midweek services begin, join us for a fun-filled evening supporting our friends at the Mont Belvieu Animal Shelter!

Bring the family and come enjoy adoptable animals, games, snow cones, and plenty of opportunities to make a difference in our community. Whether you're looking to adopt, donate, or simply show your support, we'd love to see you there.

We're also accepting donations now through July 22 at MercyGate Church. Pet food, treats, toys, blankets, cleaning supplies, and other shelter essentials are greatly appreciated.

Come out early, support our local animal shelter, and then stay for Midweek as we gather for worship, teaching, and community. ❤️🐶
