We have pasture board available!
This is the perfect place for the horse owner who just wants to enjoy their horse, or for a retired horse who wants to live out their life comfortably and safely.
No drama, no stress.

Pasture board includes:
-Shared paddock with large run-in shed
-Twice daily feedings and daily grass turnout (when appropriate) on our lush back acreage
We provide grain (low carb option for draft horses or pssm positive horses available for small extra fee.)
-Seven week deworming cycle
-One sand arena and one grass arena
-Two barns on site, each with a tack room and six stalls.
-A trusted farrier services our farm every seven weeks- your horse can be added to the routine for an additional fee.
-Knowledgable barn owner lives on site with decades of experience.

Why do we prefer pasture board?
Equine movement promotes GI regularity.
Exercise is known to increase longevity-who doesn’t want to add years to their horse’s life?
Exposure to the normally occurring sounds and visuals in nature helps to desensitize nervous horses.
Ability to see a horse in his active habitat helps us to recognize sooner if something is unusual.

Katie came to Clove Acres as a very young, very skittish, VERY hungry horse. We did not always know her fate and things were rather touch and go for the first few months of her life here.
She is also one of the biggest horses to ever step foot (ahem:hoof) on the farm.
Although her demeanor, body, and confidence has drastically changed during her time here-one thing hasn’t:
This gentle giant has a serious soft spot for kids. People are often taken back by how large she is-but she’s as sweet as they come.
The first picture is from 2015- about 8 months after she came home.
The second is from this past winter.
Some things never change. ❤️
