We are a 2-doctor small animal, exotic practice looking for a FT Licensed Veterinary Technician. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years experience in a fast paced multi species practice. This candidate will be proficient in pet restraint, lab work, procedures, dental procedures, surgery, nursing care and triage/discharge of patients. They will aid the doctors in achieving greater efficiency by relieving them of some of the routine work and ensure the daily flow of appointments and patient care is nothing less then exceptional.

Requirements:

1 year experience
Exceptional nursing skills
Excellent communication skills
Excellent written communication skills
Field questions and inquires about services, triage, and products
Provide knowledgeable advice concerning the care and treatment of animals
Know common drugs and protocols and be able to explain them to clients
Operate and maintain hospital equipment i.e.: EKG, fluid pump, scales, CO2 monitor, and anesthesia machines
Ability to manage dynamic fast paced environment
Attention to details
Someone who can promote change, welcomes new protocols and procedures

Busy 2 doctor small animal practice is looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join our team. Looking for a candidate who is self-motivated, someone who takes pride in their ability to listen and speak to clients and provide compassionate care for their pets. Responsibilities include restraining pets for veterinarians and technicians, assist in the taking of x-rays, set up for surgery, monitor and collect urine and f***l samples as needed, clean exam rooms, cages, runs, walking patients, boarding pets, counting medications among many other tasks. Must be able to multi task, be proactive and work as team player.

Experience preferred but willing to train the right person! Compensation based on experience.

Effective August 11th Masks will be Mandatory to enter the office. We will be adhering to the CDC recommendations. If you do not have a mask, we ask that you remain curbside.
● We will continue to offer curbside appointments for anyone who would prefer to remain in their car. Please just call and inform the receptionist upon arrival.
● For those patients scheduled for an examination with the doctor. You are welcome to come in and check in at our reception desk. We will only allow 2-people maximum to accompany the pet into the building.
IF YOU ARE NOT FEELING WELL OR HAVE BEEN EXPOSED TO COVID PLEASE DO NOT ENTER OUR BUILDING.
● Curbside will still be MANDATORY for all patients being dropped off and or admitted for services or surgery and technician appointments.
● Prescriptions/Refills/Preventatives and Veterinary Diets will remain curbside
• please call-in advance to request refills.
• Call us when you arrive, we can take your payment over the phone or at the car.
• We will deliver the prescriptions or veterinary diets to your car.
