Our clinic family is saddened to announce the untimely passing of our beloved Gouldian Finch.

He supervised from afar, judged us silently, and somehow managed to brighten even the hardest days in veterinary medicine.

His hobbies included:
• Tossing seed outside his enclosure for someone else to clean up
• Yelling at the canary
• Looking impossibly beautiful while doing absolutely nothing productive
• Existing as a tiny feathered morale booster for staff and clients alike

Sadly, his story ended not in peaceful retirement, but in an act of feline treachery by one of our clinic cats, who has shown little remorse and continues to maintain their innocence despite overwhelming circumstantial evidence.

Though small in size, he leaves behind a very big hole in our hearts.

Fly high, little friend. May there be endless millet, sunny perches, and absolutely no cats where you are. 🕊️

HEADS UP! Hwy 85 from Cty H (just before Caryville) to Cty O (just past Rock Falls) will be closed for construction beginning Monday, April 27 through the end of July. Here's our recommended detour coming from Eau Claire. We're working on putting up some temporary signs.

We ran 11 tick screen/heartworm tests on Wednesday. 6 came back positive for a tick-related disease. It may be barely spring, but consider this a reminder that ticks are already active and busy!

We started our monthly vaccination clinic a year ago to try and provide a quick, more cost-effective option for pets needing simple routine vaccinations. We were happy as we averaged roughly 35 animals every month last year, thinking that was a lot of animals.

Then, last night happened... and we got to vaccinate 59 animals!!!!! That's 59 appointments we just opened for the next month to help treat sick animals.

Admittedly, this higher volume last night led to longer wait times for many people - and for that we apologize, we'll be better prepared next month. But we want to say THANK YOU for supporting your locally-owned country vet.

Our next vaccination clinic will be Tuesday, May 5th from 4:30-6:30pm.

Our next vaccination clinic is TOMORROW, Tuesday April 7th from 4:30-6:30pm.

To clarify - because we do not do exams during the clinic, the exam fee is waived. However, payment is still required for administered vaccinations.

Open to clients and non-clients.
