Well, folks… it’s been what’s normally the two busiest morning hours, and not a single pup has come through the door for daycare! So today, we’re officially closing doggy daycare and rolling into holiday mode.
Me and all the sweet boarding dogs are just gonna hang out, snack a little, chase tails, and listen to the occasional sky booms (don’t worry, pups…those aren’t signs of the end times, just fireworks).
Have a safe and happy 4th of July from all of us here at The Dog Plex! Hug your pups tight tonight. And if you see them looking concerned after dark, just remind them:
“It’s not thunder… it’s America.”

Aries has been with us at The Dog Plex for a little while now, and honestly? We’re shocked he’s still here. This boy is pure sunshine…sweet, playful, and overflowing with love. His brother Orion found his forever home… and now Aries is waiting patiently for his turn.

He’s the kind of pup who greets you with his whole heart, tail wagging like crazy, eyes full of joy. He’s gentle, goofy, and has that rare personality that just fits…the kind of dog who makes a house feel like home.

Today we said goodbye to our sunshine boy, Helios.
After so many tail wags, zoomies, and snuggles, Helios and his amazing mom are heading off to start a new adventure in California!

We’re going to miss his big personality, his goofy charm, and the way he lit up the playroom like the sun he’s named after. It won’t be the same without him, but we know he’s going to shine just as bright out west.

Helios, you’ll always be a part of the Dog Plex family.
We love you, buddy…and we’ll be cheering you on from Iowa with paws crossed and hearts full.
