Johnny (he's 6 months old) wants to make sure you will be there to visit with him today 12-5 p.m.

*We have Seniors for Seniors-If you are 60+, you can adopt a cat/dog 7 years+ and we will waive the adoption fee.

*We have Pets for Vets-If you are a Vet-we thank you for your service and will provide you with the right Cat/Dog for your lifestyle and waive the adoption fee.

*The rest of you filthy animals 😂 can adopt an adult cat/adult dog for 25.00 now thru the middle of September.

Tomorrow is national dog day! 🦮🐕‍🦺Celebrate by adopting a shelter dog❤️🐾

We have so many amazing dogs at the shelter won’t you come and adopt one and bring some love into your home!

We have several programs to to help find animals homes. We have a Seniors for Seniors program, where anyone 60 years and over with an approved application, has a waived adoption fee for animals over seven years old.

We also have waived adoption fees for veterans with their military ID.

We also have discounted adoption fees of $25 for an adult dog or cat one year or over.

Please ask staff about animals that will fit your lifestyle. Adopting a shelter dog will take time, patience, compassion, understanding, learning, but is the greatest love you’ll ever have!❤️🐾🌟 ~ Shari

🐾 Discounted Adult Adoption Fees 🐾

We have dogs that have to stay in wire kennels at this time, because we are so full. 😢

The shelter is at maximum capacity!‼️

We have discounted adult animal adoption fees. Any dog or a cat one year or over is $25 to adopt, with an approved adoption application.

Adoptions are done in person and can be same day. If you have a dog, meet and greets are required. We do not do meet greets the last hour of the day.

Please stop out and find your forever best friend. The love of a dog or a cat is immense and amazing.❤️🌟

Please make sure you are ready to adopt an animal for the lifetime of the animal. Adopting a shelter or rescue animal is work, but the most rewarding love of all. ❤️🐾 ~ Shari

‼️🚫 STOP SHOWING THE HAND🚫‼️

EVERYONE PLEASE STOP DOING THIS!!!!

THIS IS THE EASIEST WAY TO BE BITTEN BY A DOG!!!!

Do you know the signs? Lip licks, Ears back, tail down and tuck OR up and pointed, eyes looking away and trying to avoid confrontation, and so many more!

99.99% of humans stick there hands out for a dog to sniff, PLEASE STOP DOING THIS!!!

That dog can smell you ONLY IF THE DOG WANTS TO, STOP FORCING YOURSELF ON THE DOG!!!

Be patient and if the dog wants to come to you BE CONFIDENT and watch for signs!

DOGS COMMUNICATE SIMPLY, IT IS THE HUMAN THAT MISINTERPRETS

PLEASE STOP TEACHING THIS TO
CHILDREN TOO!!!

We do not want anyone bitten and we want everyone safe, including the animal.

THE DOG ALWAYS GETS BLAMED!

Please educate yourself! The hand can be a trigger for many animals, especially dogs.
With shelter and rescue dogs we do
not always know their past, we learn by engaging with caution and understanding.

Banner has a❣️FUN FACT to share: Did you know that many people who find a cat/kitten/dog and bring them to us, end up adopting them? Many times we as volunteers don't see the animal to get a picture because they don't hit the adoption floor. Just some info I wanted to pass on to you all since this is happening more than usual. - Julie
