Quad City PAWS (Pets Are Worth Saving) is a private non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to support the needs of the animals of the Rock Island County Animal Care & Control Shelter. These goals were established by the Rock Island County Animal Care and Control Board of Directors and Rock Island County. Our Mission:
To protect the welfare, health and safety of pets and people and promote

responsible pet ownership. Our Philosophy:

To be progressive in the animal welfare field by providing quality care to the animals; an aggressive spay and neuter program; and striving for placement of all adoptable pets where euthanasia is performed as a last resort. Our Position:

Dogs- $100
Puppies 8 weeks - 6 months - $250

Lincoln is SOOO MUCH FUN🌟🫶🏼☘️

Linc is a big boy and NO ONE AND I MEAN NO ONE EVER ASKS TO LOOK AT HIMS😢🥺

Lincoln is stressed and has stress lick spots on his paws. Linc is the absolute goofiest, most fun boy.

This dog 10/10.. could be ok with another dog, depending on his time to decompress and trust. He was sniffy at the cats, but let’s face it, murder mittens can hold a scent from litter digging😆
Linc is big, but he would be fun for older kids. He has the cutest over bite and face.

EVERY TIME i am at the shelter I let Lincoln out and he ALWAYS cheers me up if I am having a bad day🥰😍

Linc might be a snuggler too, he just wants to be loved and have a cozy home of his own.

Come see what I see and what the volunteers and staff see… we all see Linc has a heart of GOLD💛
I LOVE THIS BOY SOOO MUCH, it breaks my heart seeing him there for so long.

Petsmart’s Cassandra and Suzy brought soo many AMAZING DONATIONS today.
We are super excited to use all the donations for dog and cat enrichment, snuggly toys for the more lonely animals and for animal adoptions 🌟🐾❤️

THANK YOU SOOO MUCH WE ARE SO THANKFUL AND GRATEFUL. It really makes us proud of our community supporting the animals in need at the shelter 🫶🏼🐾

So where did this this snow come from 😳

We are open today, Sunday, 12-4pm for dog and cat viewing and adoptions 🐾

It’s a great day to grab a coffee and come by to find a new best friend to snuggle with. Red might not be the guy for that just yet, he is a cute goofball and he is still super playful. He wants to be loved and loves to be loved on, but still learning to trust. Red loves to play tug with his rope.

Fancy Nancy was brought up this morning. She is timid and found security in her litterbox. She let me pet her head without any issues. She came in as a stray and is 5 years old.

Pea Pod was adopted from us originally (I remember naming her) and she came back to us as a stray. She was found in a tree and a good person brought her in. Her adopter never came for her. She has a very unique meow (sound up) and so friendly. I think she has potential to get along with another cat with the proper slow introductions. 💖🐾🦴Volunteer With Us🦴🐾💖 Volunteering comes in many forms and all of them are EXTREMELY REWARDING! This is a short clip of a much longer video when I met KANE for the first time and he broke my heart. 😭 In his experience, he didn’t know he could trust people and turn to them for comfort. He quickly realized the shelter was a safe place and he was worthy of love. He has since gotten his happily ever after and I will never forget him. ❤️ We need help, especially with socializing & walking dogs! We average 50-60 dogs on the adoption floor so you can imagine how much manpower it takes to get them all the love and attention they crave! Another trip down memory lane in my camera roll, brings me to DIABLO! This sweet boy has been waiting 5️⃣0️⃣5️⃣ days for a home. 😩 When I say nobody ever looks at him I’m not exaggerating!
