We are so incredibly honored to be partnering with The Sacred Becoming and hosted by Yoga Life Center in Mokena for a fun-filled day of downward dog… and actual dogs! 🐾🧘‍♀️

This event is especially meaningful to us for several reasons, but the biggest impact will be the difference we can make together for a family of dogs whose future depends on intervention and support.

Proceeds from this event will help cover the medical care and spay/neuter procedures needed to help a family of dogs caught in an unfortunate cycle. Three months ago, a litter of 13 puppies was born. Some found placement but then, disaster struck. The remaining pups contracted Parvoviris. Three little warriors fought their hardest and pulled through. Unfortunately for the others, their tiny bodies failed them after the humans responsible for them failed them.

Before those surviving puppies were even grown, a second litter arrived from another mother in the same home. These puppies are in imminent danger and without intervention, the cycle is likely to continue. We are determined to not let this happen again. Not the Parvo and not the accidental litters.

The owner has expressed a willingness to spay and neuter their dogs but, like many families facing financial hardship, has simply never had the resources to make that happen. Through this fundraiser, we hope to provide the veterinary care needed to sterilize the adult dogs, prevent future litters, cover much needed vaccines, Parvo testing and assist with placement for the puppies.

As many of you know, Ruff Draft Inc. believes strongly in transparency, so we want to be upfront about what happens next. The puppies involved in this situation will absolutely be entering rescue care. However, at this time, we have not yet determined whether they will be coming directly into Ruff Draft Inc. or one of our trusted rescue partners.

We hope you’ll join us for a day of yoga, puppy cuddles, and community as we work together to make a lasting difference for these dogs.

🚨 IMMEDIATE FOSTERS, FOSTER-TO-ADOPT HOMES, AND EXPERIENCED ADOPTERS NEEDED 🚨

Six Mini Goldendoodles from a breeder shutdown are arriving Thursday, and we need placement commitments now.

These girls are approximately 3–5 years old and range from 20–40 pounds. They have spent their lives as breeding dogs, not family pets, so many will need time, patience, and understanding as they learn to trust people and adjust to life in a home.

Ruff Draft Inc. Dog Rescue will provide veterinary care, supplies, and ongoing support. We need safe, committed homes ready to help these dogs begin their new lives.

These dogs are expected to require significant veterinary care, including bloodwork, possible dentals, and other medical treatment commonly needed by breeder-survivor dogs.

If you can foster, foster-to-adopt, or are an experienced adopter willing to welcome one of these dogs, please contact us immediately or submit an application through our website.

UPDATE!!! 6/16 5:30 PM - Applications have been received and we are reviewing potential matches.

The world sees a special-needs puppy. Angel sees a world full of toys, treats, adventures, and people she hasn’t met yet.

Some dogs arrive in rescue because they were lost. Some because they were unwanted. Angel arrived because she needed someone willing to see past her differences and recognize the incredible little dog underneath.

Angel is a tiny white Mini Poodle born March 11, 2026. At just 4 pounds today, she is expected to be around 10 pounds full grown. While she may be small in size, this little girl has a personality that is anything but tiny.

Angel is considered special needs. She is deaf and has Microphthalmia, a condition that causes her eyes to be smaller and slightly misshapen. Her unique appearance is most likely the result of both parents carrying the merle gene, creating what is commonly referred to as a double merle puppy. Double merle dogs have a significantly increased risk of vision and hearing impairments.

Despite her challenges, Angel doesn’t let anything slow her down. She plays, explores, snuggles, and enjoys life just like any other puppy. Her deafness doesn’t stop her from learning, and her vision condition doesn’t stop her from being curious about the world around her. At this time, her eyes are healthy and comfortable, though one may need to be removed in the future if it causes problems as she grows.

Angel may experience the world a little differently than other dogs, but she has never let that define her. She is proof that being different doesn’t mean being broken—it simply means finding the family that appreciates her for exactly who she is.

This sweet little girl is looking for a home that sees her uniqueness as a gift and is ready to help her write the next chapter of her story.

While on transport, we received a tip about a litter of puppies that had been dumped near a creek. We immediately changed course and headed out to see if we could help.

Before you watch, I’ll give you fair warning: I’m NOT a professional videographer, and my editing skills aren’t winning any awards anytime soon. The footage may be a little rough, but the important part isn’t the video quality—it’s that these six sweet puppies now have their story out in the world.

Someone left them behind, but their story doesn’t end there.

Because now people know they’re here. People know they matter. And people know they’re searching for forever homes.
