🥨🐾 Paws for Pretzels: A NAWS Fundraiser! 🐾🥨

Bite into tradition and help shelter pets in need!

This May, NAWS is teaming up with the legendary Gus’ Pretzel Shop, a St. Louis favorite since 1920. Every hand-twisted, mouthwatering pretzel you order will support our mission to save and care for animals in need!

🗓️ Order Period: All throughout May 2025
🛍️ Pick-Up Date: The NAWS team will be picking up fresh from Gus' on June 19, 2025
📍 Pick-Up Location: NAWS (ready for pick-up by late afternoon — we'll confirm exact timing closer to the date!). Note: Since we do not have space to keep frozen orders overnight, arrangements must be made for frozen orders to be picked up on June 19, 2025

Calling all Pizza Lovers!

Dinner is set for Wednesday!

What if we told you that you can save pets while eating pizza? Well you can now on April 30th!

We have partnered with Lou Malnatis at 5 different locations for a Pizza Party fundraiser! On April 30th, the Tinley Park, New Lenox, Homer Glen, Oak Lawn, and Palos locations of Lou Malnatis will be donating 20% of their sales to all who come to eat for NAWS!

In order for this fundraiser to happen, we need people to RSVP to eat below (even if you are unsure you can make it). And in order for us to receive the 20%, you must tell them you are eating for NAWS!

❤️ Adopt Baby Cakes! ❤️

This darling little 5-month-old girl is looking for her forever home. After being found as a tiny stray lying alone and cold in a lawn, she has proven to be quite a little survivor! Baby Cakes was only a few weeks old when rescued, so she was placed with a neonatal foster and bottle fed. Her eyes were infected and needed extra attention from our medical team, but she has recovered very well. She does have a little cloudiness in one eye which is likely residual scarring from the infection, but it does not affect her vision.

According to her foster, Baby Cakes is an easy-going and incredibly sweet little girl. She has been fine with several other kittens in her foster home. She is independent. She does not require another kitten in order to thrive, but she would not mind one either.

This sweet girl is amazing and is going to bring so much love to her forever home. If you would like to meet her, or have any questions, please email [email protected].

We have a very generous anonymous donor who is matching donations up to $1,500 for the next week!

A year ago, this donor lost their animal loving spouse, and in memory of them they are giving back in a way that they know their spouse would love...giving back to NAWS.

From now until next week Saturday, all gifts up to $1,500 are MATCHED!
