🚨🐾 WOW — OUR MATCH JUST GOT BIGGER! 🐾🚨

We started with an incredibly generous anonymous donor offering to match $3,000 for the NAWS Shelter Pet Medical Fund.

Then something amazing happened. ❤️

After seeing the need, another generous donor stepped forward with an additional $7,000 match!

That means our $3,000 Matching Challenge is now a $10,000 MATCHING CHALLENGE! 🎉🐾

And thanks to all of YOU, as of 3:30 p.m. on 8/28, we've already raised $2,845!

❤️ Every dollar donated will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $10,000. If we reach the full match, together we can turn $10,000 into $20,000 for the NAWS Shelter Pet Medical Fund!

❤️ Meet AJ and Gianna!

This adorable 7-month-old bonded brother-and-sister pair are ready to bring double the love and joy to their forever family!

AJ is a handsome boy with a playful, energetic personality and a serious appreciation for mealtime. He loves chasing toys and having fun, but when his adventures are over and sleepiness kicks in, he happily shows off his sweet snuggly side. His sister, Gianna, is a stunning girl with a gentle, affectionate personality. She enjoys playtime, but prefers to keep things a little more relaxed, and she especially loves curling up on your chest. Gianna is also quite the little shadow and will happily follow her favorite person around.

AJ and Gianna are wonderful together and truly thrive on each others companionship, so they must be adopted as a bonded pair. They do great with other cats and love all the fun things kittens enjoy, including watching birds through the window, climbing cat trees, and lounging on a cozy window perch. Their ideal home will have plenty of toys, climbing opportunities, and places to explore and play. This sweet pair has so much love and personality to share, and they would make an incredibly special addition to a kind and loving family!

🐾 GOOD RETAILS NEWS! 🐾

We know many of you have been patiently holding onto items you'd like to donate to the NAWS ReTails Resale Shop—and we are so grateful! ❤️

We’re happy to share that our storage container is expected to arrive next week! 🎉

The container will be located at the ReTails store and will give us a temporary way to begin accepting your generous donations again while the shop remains closed.

Once the container arrives and we have everything ready, we'll share an update with when donations can resume and how the drop-off process will work.

⚠️ For now, please continue to hold your donations and do not leave items at the ReTails store. We're almost there!

Your donated items are incredibly important to ReTails—and ReTails, in turn, provides important funding that helps support the animals in our care. 🐶🐱

❤️❤️ Introducing Molly Muffet!

This lovely 2-year-old girl is the perfect example of why we rescue. Despite the trials she has been through in her young life, she has shown she is resilient and still has the ability to share her love. She now deserves a second chance and a wonderful forever home.

Molly Muffet was a petite and skinny stray, having to fend for herself outdoors. Sadly, she was seen putting her head into an old Cheetos bag, likely looking for some type of food. Soon after, she luckily came to the yard of a kind NAWS rescuer who began to earn her trust through food. After a few pets, Molly had decided she was done with life outdoors and showed she wanted to come inside. Given her friendly nature, we suspect she had people in her life at some point in her past, but they had let her down and she was forced to survive outdoors. Never again…it is our goal to make sure she never has to feel unwanted or abandoned again.

Molly Muffet is such a sweet girl after a bit of initial shyness. It doesn’t take her long to make friends, and once she becomes comfortable, she shows her social and adorable personality. She has thrived in her foster home and seems so grateful to be around people - we believe she will be the type of cat that will just want to spend time with her adopters. She loves to lay by her foster’s side for gentle pets and attention. She is an easy-going, affectionate and curious girl.

Molly has been around other cats in her foster home and gets along with them all. She should be fine with kitty siblings if given a slow and proper introduction.
