🖤🤍 Oreo Update! 🤍🖤

Remember sweet Oreo, who we introduced when she first came into our care? She is thriving, and now ready for her forever!

At just 1.5 years old, Oreo has already faced more change than any young dog should. When her family could no longer care for her, she found herself looking for a fresh start. Thankfully, Oreo is now thriving in an amazing foster home and is ready for the next chapter of her life! Since settling into foster care, we've learned so much about this special girl. Oreo is a total velcro dog who absolutely adores her people. She loves following her foster mom from room to room and snuggling up on the couch whenever she gets the chance. But don't let her cuddly side fool you, when it's time to play, Oreo is ready to party! She loves running around, playing with toys, and will even toss them up in the air for herself. A fenced yard where she can zoom and play would be a dream come true for her.

Oreo is still learning that the world isn't so scary. She can be a little shy at first, especially around men, but with patience and kindness she warms up beautifully. She would do well with children old enough to understand and respect her timid nature. One thing we've discovered is that Oreo truly blossoms when she has another playful dog around. Having a canine companion helps bring out her confidence and playful personality, and she would absolutely love a dog friend in her forever home. Oreo is currently fostered with a cat and does well, though she occasionally tries to convince her feline friend to play! Any resident cats should be comfortable with a playful pup. She's also a smart cookie! Oreo has already mastered "sit" and is working hard on "stay" and "leave it." This bright young girl has so much potential and is eager to keep learning. Now all Oreo needs is a family of her very own to continue helping her grow, thrive, and feel loved!

Meet Celeste! 💞

At 6 years old, Celeste has already been through more than any dog ever should. She was found wandering the streets by local animal control, painfully skinny and covered in scars across her face. But somehow, despite everything shes endured, Celeste still greets the world with nothing but love.

This beautiful pittie is truly one of the sweetest souls you could ever meet. Her favorite thing in the world is carrying around one of her beloved plush toys before curling up on a bench beside her favorite volunteers for snuggles and quiet company! She has quickly become a volunteer favorite at NAWS, and it's impossible not to fall in love with her gentle heart. Celeste absolutely loves meeting new people and is always a star at adoption events. She soaks up every bit of attention she can get and just wants someone to love her as much as she loves them. She doesnt seem to mind kitties, and gets along great with other dogs on the calmer side!

After everything shes survived, Celeste deserves a soft bed, a basket full of plushies, and a family who will show her what unconditional love truly feels like. She has so much love left to give now she just needs someone willing to give her the world in return!

Meet Miss Joey! 💜

Joey is a 5 month old Lab/Hound mix. She found her way to NAWS after her and her siblings were rescued from euthanasia. Joey came to us scared, sick with Parvo, and in need of some major TLC. Joey is now thriving, and ready for her forever home!

This adorable little girl is a ball full of energy and really enjoys the company of everyone she meets. Joey is 40lbs currently and still has some growing to do! While initially she can be a bit shy, she warms up quickly! She loves all people, cats, and dogs - especially the big ones! Joey is still learning how to be a good girl, and will need a family who can teach her how to be the perfect dog (I mean, shes pretty close). She would LOVE a pup sister or brother to also help show her the ropes of being the best girl! Joey also would absolutely love a kitty best friend who she can snuggle up with and love on. Joey has lots of energy and can be a lot for very young kiddos but would thrive with a family with older kids who can tire her out! She loves running around a big backyard to release all her puppy energy. At night, once shes worn herself out, she will sit on top of her person and show her gratitude with so many kisses. She sleeps really well, too! Joey thrives on companionship and loves being around her people - shed love a home where she can follow her family around! She loves treats and is learning basic commands. While Joey still has a lot to learn, shell be a great family dog!

❤️❤️ Adopt Samson & Minnie! ❤️❤️

Think how wonderful it would be to adopt a kitten with its best friend! Samson and Minnie are 10-month-old bonded littermates that are very attached to each other and need to be adopted together. There is a benefit to adopting older kittens such as these two…they have already developed their personalities - you know what you are getting. So you can still adopt adorable, young playful kittens with less surprises!

These two are ready to fill a home with double the fun and double the love. Both kittens are incredibly outgoing, playful, and full of personality. They love chasing toys, exploring together, and following their people from room to room to see what’s going on. Whether they’re batting around a favorite toy or racing through the house together, Minnie and Samson bring nonstop entertainment and joy wherever they go. They’re also wonderful with other cats, making them a great addition to a home with feline friends already waiting for them.

While they share the same playful spirit, each kitten has their own special charm. Minnie is an affectionate girl who loves pets and attention, though she prefers to keep all four paws on the ground instead of being held. Samson, on the other hand, is a sweet little cuddlebug who enjoys curling up on your lap and purring happily wherever you are. He’ll tolerate being held for short periods, especially if it means getting extra love.

What truly makes these two special is the bond they share — they absolutely do not like being apart and rely on each other for comfort, confidence, and companionship. Minnie and Samson are looking for a forever home together where they can continue growing up side by side, just as they were meant to be.
