🐾 Let’s Talk About After-Hours Pet Emergencies in Augusta
Did you know that Augusta, GA does not currently have a 24-hour emergency veterinary hospital?
This means if your pet has an urgent medical crisis at night, on weekends, or during holidays, your options can be limited—and the last thing any pet parent wants in an emergency is to be scrambling for answers.
Here are some important steps to prepare before an emergency happens:
1️⃣ Build a strong relationship with your regular veterinarian. They know your pet’s history best and can give guidance if something urgent comes up.
2️⃣ Ask about their emergency policies. Find out: Do they take after-hours calls? Do they partner with another clinic for emergencies?
3️⃣ Have a backup plan. Know in advance which nearby cities have 24-hour or late-night emergency hospitals, and keep their contact info handy.
