Good afternoon students and friends!

I want to thank everyone for handling our hiatus with such grace and kindness. As many of you know, we were dealing with an emergency medical situation with my young son and had to take the summer off from teaching group classes and taking on new private clients.

I am very happy to announce that we are once again taking on new private training clients in the Mocksville, Clemmons, Bermuda Run, Winston Salem and Salisbury areas. We will also begin enrolling for group classes again within the next week or two, once arrangements are finalized.

I am also extremely excited to announce the addition of two new services we will offer to our local clients- Petsitting in your home and dog walking services. Dog walking services range from a 20 minute enrichment walk to a one hour off site hiking adventure with or without training added in.

Our sitters/walkers are licensed and insured and trained in pet first aid and CPR, and all dogs transported for off-site hikes will be transported
In professional, crash rates crates.

Unfortunately, due to unexpected health occurrences this week, we need to postpone Wednesday classes (3/5/2025) and Friday classes (3/7/2025)
We will pick up classes again next week, Wednesday, 3/12/2025 and Friday, 3/14/2025. We will still hold the same number of overall classes.

We apologize for any inconvenience! If you must miss a class due to this change, please contact us and we will be happy to schedule a private lesson to catch you up at a later date.

Good morning students!

An email will follow for all students who have signed up to begin group classes this week, as well as a link to pay their invoice.

We have been keeping an eye on the inclement weather due to hit our area on Wednesday evening, which also happens to be the first day of class. Because of this weather, we are shifting the start of the first day of class from 2/19 and 2/21 to 2/26 and 2/28. There will still be six classes, we are just delaying the start by one week.

We apologize for any inconvienence this may present our students!

Virtual training sessions!

We are once again offering a limited number of our very popular virtual training packages. Packages are time cards for a certain number of hours with our trainer. The hours can be broken down into 30 minute, 60 minute or 90 minute sessions as they are used. Sessions are completed over the phone, over zoom/FaceTime or if prefered through text/messages.

These sessions are wonderful for:

-behavior modification help
-communication misunderstandings
-training plan developments
-consultation work
-mechanics and skill assistance
-a gift for a new puppy/dog owner!
-having a trainer on call to answer any questions!

Time cards are good for one year and gift cards are available.

-3 hours of time $175
-6 hours of time $300
-10 hours of time $450
-12 hours of time $500

Trainer Shawn working with Grayson, a 12 month old smooth collie puppy who is training to be a mobility service dog.

Grayson has been working this week on retrieving dropped items for his handler with the cue “oops”. here he is retrieving a dropped basket as well as a cane for his trainer.

Grayson will be in training for at least another 12 months before he is ready for his graduation tests.

Did you know that our trainer has been training service dogs for 17 years?

-mobility assistance with life assistance tasks for disabled handlers with physical limitations

-glucose alert for diabetic handlers

-allergy alert

-psychiatric service dogs, including PTSD, with alert and response tasks

-seizure response

And cross training for multiple tasks.
