Little Bitta Luck Farms

Little Bitta Luck Farms A Golden Retriever obsessed family who competes in AKC Conformation, Hunt Test and Obedience Events.

We are fortunate to live close enough to Vegas to have all the conveniences of a 24 hour town, but far enough away to enjoy our country lifestyle. We are owned by our Golden Retrievers and spend the lion share of our day in the working (and playing) with the kids - furry and human kids alike. Our lives revolve around our animals, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

These past few weeks of shows really gave me all the feels - long post warning ⚠️

When I got my first golden I didn’t know much about dog sports. A decade + later, with highly successful dogs of my own breeding, I count myself among the lucky few - so want to take a minute to share my gratitude to a few extra special mentors and friends.

When I ventured into the conformation ring, I very quickly realized what a difficult sport it was. Even with some wins handling my own dogs, it was clear in short order that although I really value structure in my dogs and the quality of their structure needs to be proven by showing them, I didn’t want to be the one doing it, except for the very one off occasion. Spoiler alert – unless you really love grooming – showing golden is an insane amount of prep work for those few minutes you’re in the ring. Every time I even think of show grooming one of my dogs Im reminded that our phenomenal handler is worth every penny! Thank you for being such a top notch professional and friend

Thank you for helping me keep the balance between show and performance in our pedigrees. You’ve certainly killed it in the show ring and it’s so awesome to watch you succeed with dogs we both crafted with true versatility in the forefront - brains and beauty 💕

My happy place is in the field! Try as I may to fight it, I’ve found a fair bit of enjoyment in the obedience ring as of late - thank you Marina for your friendship and mentorship thru every time I told you I didn’t wanna play “your” sport.

Thank you Leeah (all the you see in my dogs’ pedigrees) for spoiling me with healthy mind and body dogs who could excel in every direction we pointed them. Over and over you’ve set the standard high - leaving me seeking the absolutely total package in Goldens.

THANK YOU to all of the greats who have helped me build LittleBitta into what it is today.

Black Mountain Kennel Club 2025
By far the busiest and yet still most enjoyable show I’ve been to in a long while. And a highly successful one too!
I’m humbled by all those who graciously helped, from grooming, holding dogs, wrangling armbands and kids, handling and taking great pics of some of the highlights. Thank you to everyone who pitched in!

WISH I MAY, WISH I MIGHT…Have The Retriever Coach help my human train me right.

Tis the season for wishes to come true! Kevin is joining us in Moapa, Nevada for a 3 day Fundamentals Workshop January 23-25, 2026.

If you and your dog are wishing for a little help in the field, you’re in luck - there are still a few working spots, audit spots and even some private lessons avalable. I cant remember the last time we had a training seminar of this calibur in our neck of the woods. I’ve personally made sure my friends and family snagged their spots and that Ralph knew I wanted private lessons for Christmas!

Feel free to reach out if you’re interested in joining us.

Thanksgiving is one of those holidays that brings all the feels with it 💕 It is been an insane year of ups and downs, but scrolling thru my camera roll to share a few of my favorite behind the scene candid with you, there is SO much more than a LittleBitta to be grateful for around the Farm again this year.

LittleBitta wouldn’t be - without my other half. He’s works seemingly tirelessly behind the scenes to be the best husband, father and partner in life. Whether it’s his day job, sports schedules, feeding dogs or traveling the country in pursuit of all our dog related dreams - often making my favorite coffee appear all day long - he makes it all look easy and is the eternal optimist when I’m exhausted and in need of a snack and nap.

LittleBitta’s success has taken a village. And the second biggest constant in that village are our 4 boys. From being responsible for the daily feedings of our furry friends to helping us start and grow new retriever clubs to training and competing (very successfully at the national level) with their own and many of my dogs too - these kids work hard and play even harder. Our furry friends are lucky to be loved and share their days with so many special kids!

That camera roll scroll also made me realize how many things I’ve photo documented along the year but not shared. If you know me aside from behind the screen - you know social media management isn’t my strong suit. I try to share the big mile stones and some of our day to day, but often miss the mark of making it timely. I’m going to work on sharing some of my favorite moments of this past year in the coming weeks.

Hoping you’re spending your Thanksgiving with your favorite friends - furry and/or human and have some really wonderful things to be thankful for!

I can’t believe it’s already time for the baby Rooney-Rona’s to fly the coop 😕 We had a wonderful time going over them yesterday with Janice - thank you for all your guidance and expertise! I’m tickled pink with how many evaluated so nicely and cant wait to watch them grow 🥰

Im a big believer that things have a way of working out for the best, and Lord knows there’s always room to learn and grow if you keep an open mind and are blessed with people willing to help you grow 💕 We had penciled in the wrong prelimary placements and now have some availability we didn’t expect - show and performance puppies are now available to established show/performance homes or wonderful companion homes. Inquires welcome.

Last but certainly not least, Thank you to everyone who played a part in this very promising litter!

At 3 weeks old, I think it’s time to formally introduce the Rooney x Rona babies. Could they be any cuter?!?
Motherhood sure looks good on Rona - and we’re really hopeful Janice will have enough time be able to work her back into tip top show shape for Top 20 this fall.
There are a couple males available to companion homes.

A little late posting – 2025 sure came in like an unrelenting lion, but I want this memory to come up on my Facebook memories in the future – so please indulge me.

Rona – The 2024 Year End #5 Bitch in the Nation (Canine Chronicle Breed) and #7 Bitch All Breed. I’m humbled every time I say that. When we sent her to Janice, we had no idea she would be our first top 20 ride, picking up BISS, multiple group wins, SDHF and a Jam at the National along the way. She’s such a dream in the field and obedience ring alike, that was where we intended to keep her. But that thought quickly changed when she won the group her first weekend ever showing, from the classes, and we haven’t come back out of the clouds since.

In just 9 months from the time Rona stepped into the show ring for the very first time, until the end of the year, she climbed the ranks of Top 20 stats for both rankings, even with a long summer break. Jessica and I are so grateful for Janice taking such great care of Rona, and us, during this whirlwind ride. I’ve shared before, but it is worth sharing again, Janice was a huge driving force in me sticking with show dogs. She told me more times than I care to recall to put dogs back in the truck – meanwhile making sure I knew it was possible to get where I wanted to be, if I persevered. She always answered the call – from grooming to pedigrees, to what color street nail shade is the perfect match for Westminster – after all she nailed it when she won with Buddy! She let me cry on her shoulder when things didn’t work out, but then helped me get back on track after I’d licked my wounds long enough. Not just a class act in the ring, but a cherished friend and mentor who I anticipate continuing to hold me accountable for as long as I’m in dogs. Thank you Janice for taking us on this unforgettable ride! Thank you to the judges who found our girl all year long. Thank you to all the breeders who played a part in this pedigree culminating in our special girl.

Here are a few of my favorite pics of the dream team that I haven’t gotten around to sharing yet.

UPDATE: Thank you to everyone that helped spread the word about Xtra. I've had an overwhelming amount of interest in helping find the perfect home for her and have a very promising family coming to meet her this weekend so am no longer interviewing families.

We are starting to look for the right home for a 2.5 year old, spayed Golden girl who unfortunately for us, doesn’t enjoy being in the field as much as we do. Please feel free to share this with anyone local to Vegas/Moapa/St George area or who is willing to travel to meet her.

This sweet girl is housebroken to a doggie door, wonderful in her crate, spayed and microchipped. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and loves kids. She had her OFA Hips rated good, elbows normal, cardiologist heart clearance and multiple normal eye exams. She has no medical issues.

She has been in a performance program since she was tiny, and is well trained in obedience. I'm happy to share some of her Rally Videos upon request. She is not bothered by gunfire. She will go in her wading pool and ponds, but doesn’t love to swim. She travels in her crate in the car like a dream.

The only reason she is looking for a new home is that she does not love working in the field and we felt it wasn’t fair to leave her home alone most days and while we compete on the weekends too.

Please call/text 702-672-8116 or pm me if she may be a good fit for you. We will be selective and take as long as needed to find the right home for her. There is a rehoming fee.

Grateful beyond words for the wild ride Rona has taken us on in the less than 8 months from her first time stepping in a conformation ring. So many first for Jessica Hagstette and I - each time some how being even more impressive than the last. Still in awe of the JAM (Judges Award of Merit) she was awarded at her first National. Thank you Mr Richard Anton for finding our girl in such a sea of beautiful dogs.

Thank you for being there for us, not just on show day, but every other time I call asking for guidance. Your professionalism and genuine love for the dogs you take on is unmatched. Thank you for mentoring me from dog food to making a run for 20 Top - I feel so lucky to call you a friend and mentor.

Thank you to everyone who played a part in getting Rona here and to everyone who reach out to congratulate us and say how much they enjoyed watching Rona 💕
