Texas A&M University recently reached out to us here at Mill Creek Animal Hospital, offering us the opportunity to send them community samples to test for Heterobilharzia Americana infection in dogs. Those interested in submitting a sample can reach out and send an email to [email protected]. A shipping kit and label will be sent to you for your sample. They only ask that you sign a consent form and fill out an online survey.

This testing will help provide critical research on an illness that affected several dogs in our community in 2018. Feel free to reach out to us or The Drake Project for more information on this topic.
