UPDATE: SAD NEWS TO SHARE THIS AFTERNOON. POOR ASHA IS NOT IMPROVING. UPDATED BLOOD WORK SHOWS HER KIDNEYS ARE SHUTTING DOWN AND WE'VE DISCOVERED SHE'S ALSO SUFFERING FROM GLAUCOMA AND IS BLIND. AT THIS POINT THERE IS NO HOPE FOR THIS DARLING LITTLE BEAGLE WHO DESERVES SO MUCH BETTER. ASHA WILL BE HUMANELY EUTHANIZED THIS AFTERNOON TO END HER SUFFERING. WE ARE GRATEFUL TO EVERYONE WHO DONATED TO HELP US IN THIS FIGHT. HER FOSTER MOM IN KENTUCKY WILL BE WITH HER WHEN SHE TAKES HER LAST BREATH TODAY. RESCUE CAN BREAK YOUR HEART

Asha is a sweet beagle girl who landed in a rural shelter as a stray. She's bone thin and has a limp and a mouthful of rotten teeth. But we can't address any of those issues yet because she's dehydrated and bloodwork shows her kidney values are off the charts. She's been hospitalized since yesterday hooked up to IV's as we try to save her kidneys (and her life). We will get updated blood work tomorrow (Friday) to see if there's any improvement. Asha is an absolute sweetheart, no matter how bad she feels her tail thumps when she sees people. We desperately want to save this girl and support her in her fight for her life. We're currently looking at about $1000 for phase 1 of her care and we hope and pray we get to phase 2.
