Sometimes training doesn't always look how we think it does. It's not all "sit," "down," and "stay." Yes, those are all important, but so is just waiting, being bored, or waiting on your small human to accept an answer she doesn't want to accept. Taking your dog out and about is an important step, and so is teaching them to just be. It can be extremely hard and frustrating to teach, especially if we are always going with our dogs. Trust me, I get it. Both dogs pictured would much prefer working on something, anything other than being bored. But it's an important skill to learn.
