Quartz & Milo are still searching for their perfect new homes 💛 These adorable, 7-month-old brothers did not receive a lot of exposure to people/places during their socialization window, so many of the things we see as "normal" are quite scary for them. Thankfully, both of them absolutely love the company of other dogs and feel much more comfortable in their presence.
Both of these pups are willing to approach people for a treat or to chase a tossed toy (especially Quartz), but they are not interested in being reached for or pet until a significant time has been spent with a trusted person. Tossing these sweet guys some cheese and toys, especially when another dog is present, is the quickest way into their little circle.
The perfect homes for Milo & Quartz will have minimal traffic and a very confident resident dog to help show them the ropes (they love to mimic behavior!). Their perfect families will be patient and understand that an "old" dog can learn new tricks, but it takes a lot of time and structure. Our behavior team has been working with these two on confidence building games like hand targeting, and would love to chat more about them with interested adopters.
