Our first race of the season is coming up. The Western Montana Dirt Derby October 22-23 @ Lubrecht Experimental Forest. We'll be participating in the 2 dog bikejoring event. Still have some work to do with the newest addition "Twig" but no matter what happens, It will be a blast! Mushers

Our first time competing was at the most recent Flathead Classic in Olney, MT. We competed in the one dog skijor event at the fantastic groomed trails of Dog Creek Lodge. It was eye opening to see the level of talent, the love for dogs, and the enthusiasm of the crowd. We had a great two days out: Day one went without Pip or myself missing a beat. Day two I gave Pip a "Haw" command instead of "Gee" because I couldn't remember which way we were supposed to go at the fork. Pip was able to correct and go right, I ended up down in the bottom of a creek bed, crawling my way out with my skis on. After that, we had a great run and finished even stronger than day one. Pip surprised me in his focus and endurance and I came away with a new sense of determination, that this was something I would continue to pursue.

This year we have added dog #2 to our team. Her name is twig and she has added some serious power to our team. We are trying to purchase our first dog sled to get the dogs out in the winter. We hope that you will help our rag tag team of rescue dogs progress to the next level.
