Welcome Finch!
Finch will be working his way through my Board and Train program 🐾 He has previously completed some obedience classes and already knows basic commands. Because of this, we will be able to really focus on advanced obedience skills, off leash reliability, and correcting undesirable behaviors!
Finch is already proving to be a super smart boy with lots of willingness to please 🐶 I can’t wait to see how much he will learn in just a few weeks!

Mando and Marshall are some of my favorite boys 🧡
They both previously completed my Board & Train program and come back about once a week for continued training through my Day Training program! This helps keep their commands sharp and allows me to teach some more advanced skills as we go 🐾
Dog training isn’t a one and done deal. It’s something that needs to be maintained throughout your dog’s life or those learned skills will become forgotten 💭 Mando and Marshall’s owner is the perfect example of this! She maintains their skills at home and stays consistent with bringing them back for additional training refreshers a few times each month.

I hosted a little family reunion over the weekend!
Moose and Remi live in separate households, but are actually litter mates 🐾 Both pups come to me for boarding and this weekend was the first time they have been here at the same time!
They had so much fun reuniting and getting some sibling playtime 🎾

POV: You’re a dog trainer/pet sitter and it’s the 4th of July

Everyone’s dinner has been prepped and popped in the freezer! I simply add water to each dogs’ kibble and freeze it. I’ll pas out everyone’s frozen meals this evening 🐶
By taking this extra step, I am able to provide each dog with some mental enrichment while keeping them occupied for a while! Plus, licking releases calming endorphins so any nervous pups can hopefully handle tonight with a little less stress 🧘‍♂️
All the dogs here will enjoy their frozen bowls in their crates with fans going to help block out the noises 🎇
Fireworks aren’t fun for everyone. Keep your pets safe tonight!

Over the weekend, Dani got to tag along on a family camping trip 🏕️
She had a fantastic time swimming, playing, walking, and lounging! Commands such as place, come, and heel came in quite handy around the campgrounds 🐾
Dani is the perfect example of a well trained dog and consistently earned herself off leash freedom on our campsite! Taking her along wasn’t anything I had to dread or worry about. She was such an easy and fun addition to our weekend away 🦮 Truly a testament of how training can change both your life and your dog’s!
Back at home, Jordan (my wonderful assistant trainer), held down the fort and made sure all the other dogs were well taken care of! From feeding and pottying to walks and playtime, everyone had a fun filled weekend 🎾

Remi is all smiles to be back at school 📚
Remi grew up in my Day Training program and graduated a few months ago, so it’s been a little bit since I’ve seen her.
She’s recently been struggling with some reactivity on walks, so back to school she came! During her days here, Remi is getting some obedience refreshers and we are working on fixing that reactivity 🐾
Dogs are not perfect and even with lots of training, new issues can arise! Sometimes a little training refresher is needed and that’s okay!
I’m so glad Remi’s owners reached out, so that we could get her back on track to being a well mannered girl 🧡

It’s shaping up to be a HOT week ☀️
With this heat, it’s important to take extra precautions to keep your dogs safe 🐶

🐾Limit outside time- Take advantage of early mornings and late evenings for walks. Avoid the midday heat!
🐾Hot pavement can result in burnt paws. Test the ground before walking your dog- if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws!
🐾Never leave your dog in a vehicle without air conditioning. Temperatures in cars can rise dangerously fast!
🐾Watch for signs of heatstroke. Excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, vomiting, or collapse are all things to look out for!

Instead of long walks or play sessions outside, it’s okay to stay indoors with small training activities, enrichment games, and frozen treats 🦴
