r home is found. Description
We (me) and the board members are a small group of volunteers dedicated to saving animals from high kill situations like at Gaston AC or where the need is located. We are located in Mecklenburg County NC area. All of our animals are fully vetted, cared for and reside in foster homes or with owner until they are adopted.. These cats/kittens some dogs that are in danger of being put down are not "problem" animals they aren't aggressive. They were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong people. Many of these cats, kittens and some dogs were homeless, abandoned from lack of funds in a family or moving situations. General Information
We are always in need of safe, loving foster homes. The more foster homes we have available, the more animals we can help save!! Please e-mail [email protected] for more information. We appreciate any assistance in finding forever safe loving homes for these scared homeless animals. If you are interested in adopting, please visit our website Bright Eyes Rescue & Adoption on facebook or http://brighteyesrescueadoption.com/adoptables/ to view adoptables and request an adoption application. Contributions are always welcome. Rescues can only do what needs to be done for these furbabies from your donations. Please consider any amount to help our shelter continue to save more lives.

We’re out of room — and we need your help TODAY.

Our kennels are full, and space is running out fast. To avoid a crisis, we need to get 20 dogs out of the shelter today through adoption, foster, or rescue.

If you’ve been thinking about helping — this is your sign.

Not approved to foster yet? No problem. You can still take a dog on a Staycation while your application is processed. It’s a short break from the shelter that can mean the world to them.

Want to help but can’t get to us? DM us — we may be able to help arrange transportation to get a dog to you.

Come by today. Open your heart, open your home — even for a few days. You can help save a life.

‼️PLEASE READ. THIS IS URGENT.🚨

Do you remember Crow and Jeff—the two scared souls on the euthanasia list just a month ago? Only Crow made it out alive. Jeff never got his second chance.

Now, their baby sister, Raven, has arrived at the shelter.

She’s just 7 months old… and already facing the same heartbreaking fate.

Raven is terrified, shut down, and completely undersocialized. She’s never been given love, guidance, or a safe place to grow. And yet, there’s still hope in her eyes—a tiny spark that says she wants to trust, she wants to live.

But time is not on her side.

Without a rescue, Raven will never know what it’s like to be a puppy, to be safe, to be loved. We couldn’t save Jeff. Please, let’s not lose her too.

We are desperately searching for a rescue willing to give her a chance.

Please share. Please tag. Please don’t scroll past. Raven is running out of time.

I know everyone has been hoping to hear a positive update on our sweet little Ferrell but unfortunately he is still on the run. 😭

We had a sighting called in earlier this week but we were not permitted to place cameras or a trap on the caller's property so we are waiting for our next sighting and hoping we can focus on the area where he may be hiding. Please continue to be on the lookout in the Wesley Chapel area and please continue to share his post in and around that area! This last sighting was on a street just past where Billy Howey and Newtown Rd intersect so clearly he is still moving.

We are all staying hopeful that the next sighting will be the one that brings him home to us!! Huge thanks to our friends at Tucker K-9 Search & Rescue for everything they are doing to help us find him!

19 years. That’s how long she gave love, loyalty, and devotion. And now, at the age where she should be nestled in soft blankets and familiar arms, Princess was dumped behind cold wire bars like yesterday’s news.

She isn’t sleeping in this photo. She’s shutting the world out. Too tired to cry, too old to hope. The only thing she did wrong… was grow old.

In her twilight years, she’s surrounded by concrete walls instead of the warmth of a home. She deserves better. She deserves peace. She deserves dignity. She deserves love in her final chapter.

Inside a sterile wire cage, a fragile, long-haired Chihuahua curls into herself as if trying to disappear. Her delicate frame is wrapped tightly in a defensive coil, face buried, eyes squeezed shut. The expression isn’t peace — it’s resignation. The dull gray metal surrounding her reflects nothing of the life she once had. The scene feels cold, clinical, and heartbreakingly final — a place no animal, let alone a 19-year-old soul, should end up.

Animal Details:
🐾 Name: Princess

Princess doesn’t need years — she just needs a chance to feel safe, held, and loved one more time. Please don’t let her final memory be of being discarded. She deserves to leave this world in a lap, not a kennel.

🚨 Be her hero in the final chapter of her life. Adopt, foster, or share. Even one act of kindness could rewrite her ending.
